Freaky Friday 2 - review and opinion [ENG-ESP]

Although I wasn’t a teenager when the first movie was released in 2003, I wasn’t that old either because I was only 19 years old and since it came out I liked it a lot, so much that during all these years I have seen it several times, so when I knew that after so many years it would have a second part I wanted to see it.

In those years Lindsay Lohan was the most prosperous young star and had a successful future ahead, although we know that things did not work out that way since a few years ago she has returned to the movies by the hand of Netflix, just in December I reviewed two of her Christmas movies that I liked a lot and commented that she looked very pretty and with the same charisma, so it is very nice to see her on the screen and in this film is no different.

Aunque no era una adolescente cuando se estrenó la primera película en el 2003, tampoco estaba tan mayor pues solo tenía 19 años y desde que salió me gustó mucho, tanto que durante todos estos años la he visto es varias ocasiones, así que cuando supe que tendría después de tantos años una segunda parte me dieron ganas de verla.

En aquellos años Lindsay Lohan era la estrella juvenil más prospera y tenía todo un futuro exitoso por delante, aunque ya sabemos que las cosas no salieron así desde hace unos años ha vuelto a las películas de la mano de Netflix, nada más en diciembre reseñé dos de sus películas navideñas que me gustaron mucho y comenté que ella se veía muy bonita y con el misma carisma, así que es muy grato verla en la pantalla y en esta película no es diferente.

Anna, who is a single mother meets love and is getting married with a teenage daughter (Harper), this premise sounds very similar to the first film, here what changes is that the groom (Eric) also has a teenage daughter (Lily). The two teenagers do not get along and want to separate their parents because this union brings significant changes for the family and they will be the ones who will have to act as adults when Anna and Tess meet in their bodies.

This time the change of body doesn’t happen only between mother and daughter, referring to Anna (Lindsay Lohan) and Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis), but the two teenagers are incorporated, so that the theme has the same vibe of the first film when the two protagonists must act like two crazy teenagers and do some crazy things that will surely make you smile. The chemistry of Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis is evident, it’s what is most enjoyable in the whole movie, the tangles and the teenage performances are very funny, in the scenes in the encounter with Jake (Chad Michael Murray) I laughed a lot.

Anna, quien es madre soltera conoce el amor y va a casarse teniendo una hija adolescentes (Harper), está premisa suena muy parecida a la primera película, aquí lo que cambia es que el novio (Eric) también tiene una hija adolescente (Lily). Las dos adolescentes no se llevan bien y quieren separar a sus padres ya que esa unión conlleva cambios significativo para la familia y ellas serán las que les tocará actuar como las adultas cuando Anna y Tess se encuentren en sus cuerpos.

En esta ocasión el cambio de cuerpo no ocurre solo entre madre e hija refiriéndome a Anna (Lindsay Lohan) y Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis), sino que se incorporan las dos adolescentes que logran que la temática tenga la misma vibra de la primera película cuando las dos protagonistas deben actuar como dos locas adolescentes y hacer algunas locuras que de seguro te van a sacar una sonrisa. La química de Lohan y Jamie Lee Curtis es evidente, es lo que más se disfruta en toda la película, los enredos y las actuaciones adolescentes son muy divertidas, en las escenas en el encuentro con Jake (Chad Michael Murray) me reí muchísimo.

The characters are the same. Ryan, Tess’s husband has the same attitude as in the previous movie, he does nothing. Jake is still in love with Tess, this would be the worst of the movie, because although he did not change body with anyone, he behaves like a teenager. As for the new characters, Erick is the man in love who unintentionally will have the best and emotional conversations to change hearts.

Anyway, I liked the movie a lot, I laughed and had a very funny time. The movie has the aura of the first one without being an exact copy, although they have the same main idea which is to reach an understanding between the characters to give the acceptance of a marriage that has become the point of discord between the parties.

Los personajes son los mismos. Ryan, el esposo de Tess tiene la misma actitud que en la película anterior, él no hace nada. Jake sigue enamorado de Tess, esto sería lo peor de la película, porque aunque no cambió cuerpo con nadie, se comporta como un adolescente. En cuanto a los nuevos personajes, Erick es el hombre enamorado que sin querer tendrá las mejores y emotivas conversaciones para lograr cambiar corazones.

En fin, me gustó mucho la película, me reí y pasé un rato muy divertido. La película tiene el aura de la primera sin ser una copia exacta, aunque tienen la misma idea principal que es llegar a entenderse entre los personajes para dar la aceptación de un matrimonio que se ha convertido en el punto de discordia entre las partes.
