Movie review and opinion Contigo en el Futuro [ENG-ESP]

Happy Sunday, I bring you an ideal recommendation to see on a day like today and that I just saw, a movie of the so-called Sunday movies between the genres of comedy and romance, with a story that includes time travel but not the kind where you can not intervene because you will alter the future, on the contrary, here what is sought is to change the fate of two people who believe that cupid was wrong at the time they met.

It is a Mexican film with two very well known actors in the field of telenovelas, Sandra Echeverría as Elena and Michel Brow as Carlos and comedian Mauricio Barrientos as Cupid. They are accompanied by Mariané Cartas and Fernando Cattori as Elena and Carlos when they were young. It’s a fun movie that will bring tears to your eyes, at least it did for me.

Feliz domingo, les traigo una recomendación ideal para ver un día como hoy y que acabo de ver, una película de la llamadas domingueras entre los géneros de comedia y romance, con una historia que incluye viajes en el tiempo pero no de ese en el que no puedes intervenir porque vas a alterar el futuro, todo lo contrario, aquí lo que se busca es cambiar el destino de dos personas que creen que cupido se equivocó al momento de conocerse.

Es una película mexica con dos actores muy conocidos en el ámbito de las telenovelas como lo son Sandra Echeverría como Elena y Michel Brow como Carlos y el comediante Mauricio Barrientos como cupido. Acompañados de Mariané Cartas y Fernando Cattori como Elena y Carlos de jóvenes. Es una película divertida que te sacará las lágrimas, al menos conmigo lo hizo.

Elena and Carlos are about to sign the divorce, they are making the reparations and blame cupid for their misfortune, because for them cupid was wrong. They receive a visit from the man in question to give them a second chance and go back in time to 1994 when they met and avoid the events that they assume were the ones that made them fall in love, that way they do not get married and the things that drove them apart as a couple do not happen. Do you believe in destiny or everything is a consequence of our actions?

Elena y Carlos están apunto de firmar el divorcio, están haciendo las reparticiones y culpan a cupido por su desdicha, pues para ellos cupido se equivocó. Reciben la visita del hombre en cuestión para otorgarles una segunda oportunidad y es regresar en el tiempo al año 1994 en el que se conocieron y evitar los acontecimientos que ellos asumen fueron los que hicieron que se enamoraran, de esa manera no se casan y no pasan las cosas que los alejaron como pareja. ¿Crees en el destino o todo es consecuencia de nuestros actos?

This movie although it has many funny parts (most of them) brought tears to my eyes but not from laughing but from reflecting on how many times I have not thought like them, I am here because that day I bumped into him at the door, but if I had turned around? Maybe everything would be different, but would that different be better than what I have now? Oh, so many questions. I don’t know if it was that today I woke up susceptible and the movie was the perfect place to shed a few tears.

The fact is that changing what we did in the past brings consequences in the future and maybe our destiny was as things happened, no matter how bad things we have gone through, they are part of life but we must always remember that it could be worse. Elena and Carlos arrive in the past with every intention of taking young Elena away from young Carlos, intervening openly and shamelessly in his decisions. But at the same time the whole experience serves them to remember what it was they liked about each other, what were those intense feelings they felt when they first met (over the years those things are forgotten) and to have a vision of what it would be like if they had not fallen in love.

Está película aunque tiene muchas partes divertidas (la mayoría) me sacó muchas lágrimas pero no de reírme si no de reflexionar sobre cuántas veces no he pensado como ellos, estoy aquí por qué ese día me tope con él en la puerta, ¿Pero si me hubiera dado la vuelta? Tal vez todo fuera diferente, pero eso diferente sería mejor que lo que tengo ahora? Oh, son muchas preguntas. No sé si fue que hoy amanecí susceptible y la película me cayó como anillo al dedo para botar unas lagrimitas.

El caso es que cambiar lo que hicimos en el pasado trae consecuencias en el futuro y tal vez nuestro destino fue tal cual como pasaron las cosas, no importa las cosas malas por las que hemos pasado, son parte de la vida, pero siempre hay que recordar que podría ser peor. Elena y Carlos llegan al pasado con toda la intención de alejar a Elena joven de Carlos joven, interviniendo abierta y descaradamente en sus decisiones. Pero a su vez toda la experiencia les sirve para recordar que fue lo que les gustó del otro, cuáles eran esos sentimientos intensos que sintieron cuando se conocieron (con los años esas cosas se olvida) y tener una visión de lo que sería si no se hubieran enamorado.

It is a movie full of emotions, sadness, joy, nostalgia, love. I really liked the jumps in time and location, and also the conversations with cupid, because cupid is never wrong, people spoil it. The actors are very good and with a lot of experience so I thought they made a very nice and very funny couple. The nostalgia is also felt in the cassette recordings, where lists of meaningful songs were made for a group of people and were given as gifts, all of us who lived through adolescence in the 90’s know about that.

Maybe I was really liking it but when the end came I was a little disappointed, because they traveled back in time to change the fact that they fell in love, but they ended up changing more than that, then when they came back, they were fine, but I would have preferred that they learned to live with the accidents and the things that hurt them, and they didn’t, they ended up fixing something that for me was one of the reasons they decided to divorce in the beginning. Maybe I don’t make myself understood, but I don’t want to make any spoilers about the ending, so you have to see it, if you already saw it please tell me what you thought about the ending, do you disagree with me? Anyway I recommend this movie, it’s only 90 minutes long and you can find it on Prime, I really liked it and I would watch it again.

Es una película cargada de emociones, tristeza, alegría, nostalgia, amor. Me gustaron mucho los saltos en el tiempo y de locación, a demás las conversaciones con cupido, porque cupido nunca se equivoca, las personas lo echan a perder. Los actores pues son muy buenos y con mucha trayectoria así que me pareció que hicieron una pareja muy bonita y muy divertida. La nostalgia también se hace sentir en las grabaciones en cassette, donde se hacían listas de canciones significativas para un grupo de personas y se obsequiada, todos los que vivimos la adolescencia en los 90 sabemos de eso.

Tal vez me estaba gustando mucho pero cuando llegó el final me sentí un poco decepcionada, porque ellos viajaron en el tiempo para cambiar el hecho de que se enamoraran, pero terminaron cambiando más que eso, entonces al volver, estaban bien, pero hubiera preferido que aprendieran a vivir con los accidentes y las cosas que les hicieron daño, y no fue así, sino que terminaron arreglando algo que para mí fue una de las razones por la que decidieron divorciarse en un principio. Tal vez no me hago entender, pero no quiero hacer ningún spoiler sobre el final, entonces tienes que verla, si ya la viste por favor cuéntame que te pareció el final ¿Estás en desacuerdo conmigo? De todas maneras recomiendo esta película, solo dura 90 minutos y la encuentras en Prime, de verdad me gustó y la volvería a ver.
