Opinion about the movie La Viuda Negra - based on a real case [ENG-ESP]

I had days wanting to see this movie, because a friend had recommended it to me since the story had aroused feelings in her for being based on a true story and for considering that the protagonist was a shameless, after telling me twice to see it, I finally did and after exchanging with her our opinions now I come to share them with you.

This story happened in Spain in 2017 and although I didn’t know anything before the movie, I also didn’t want to document myself and damage the experience, but I did after and what I found was a story very similar to what is presented in the Netflix movie.

Tenía días con ganas de ver esta película, pues una amiga me la había recomendado ya que la historia había despertado sentimientos en ella por estar basada en una historia real y por considerar que la protagonista era una descarada, después de decirme dos veces que la viera, por fin lo hice y luego de intercambiar con ella nuestras opiniones ahora vengo a compartirlas con ustedes.
Esta historia ocurrió en España en el año 2017 y aunque no sabía nada antes de la película, tampoco quise documentarme y dañar la experiencia, pero si lo hice después y lo que encontré fue una historia muy parecida a lo que se presenta en la película de Netflix.

Just by the title we realice how dark the story can be, because when the term black widow is used to talk about a woman who has lost her husband is because surely that woman killed him and that is because it takes the name of the black widow spider that kills the male and eats him. Here the interesting thing is how she did it and how with that little dead fly face she managed to deceive and have several lovers.

At one point in the film one of the policemen talking about Maje refers to her as a nymphomaniac, because he fails to understand how she could cheat on her husband with several men, it was as if she did not feel satisfaction, but to clarify the term detective Eva says that a nymphomaniac goes partying and ends up having sex with five men, but Maje was different, she liked the attention, she felt important feeling that men loved her, because they saw her as a weak and innocent woman.

Thinking about Maje’s behavior, I do not see the justification of what she did, because I have seen many chapters of female murderers where you can feel the helplessness and the desire to get rid of a life of suffering and to some extent the end can be justified, in this case I do not think so, because Antonio according to the investigations was not an aggressive man, nor controlling, but he had the bad luck to marry that woman.

Nada más por el titulo nos damos cuenta de lo oscura que puede llegar a ser la historia, pues cuando se usa el término viuda negra para hablar de una mujer que ha perdido a su esposo es porque seguramente esa mujer mató lo mato y eso se debe a que se toma el nombre de la araña viuda negra que mata al macho y se lo come. Aquí lo interesante es como lo hizo y como con esa carita de mosca muerta logró engañar y tener varios amantes.
En un momento de la película uno de los policías hablando de Maje se refiera a ella como una ninfómana, pues no logra entender como pudo engañar a su esposo con varios hombres, era como si no sintiera satisfacción, pero para aclarar el término la detective Eva dice que una ninfómana se va de fiesta y termina teniendo relaciones sexuales con cinco hombre, pero Maje era diferente, a ella le gustaba la atención, se sentía importante sintiendo que los hombres la amaban, pues la veían como una mujer débil e inocente.
Pensando en la conducta de Maje, no le veo la justificación de lo que hizo, pues he visto muchos capítulos de mujeres asesinas donde se puede sentir la impotencia y el deseo de librarse de una vida de sufrimiento y hasta cierto punto el final puede llegar a justificarse, en este caso no me parece, pues Antonio según las investigaciones no era un hombre agresivo, ni controlador, pero tuvo la mala suerte de casarse con esa mujer.

To what extent social and religious pressure can influence. Maje, a small town girl who perhaps wanted to live much longer before getting married or perhaps never wanted to get married, but does so in order to feel within what society dictates as a duty to be. What was clear to the family and to the husband himself is that there was something in her that led to infidelity, as she cheated on the groom shortly before the wedding and the relatives did not like it, but Antonio forgave her and they married.

Why didn’t she just divorce, she is a young, professional, beautiful woman with a love life covered with boyfriends and lovers to choose from of all sizes, colors and ages. The only answer is that it was better for her to come out and say at her parents’ house and in the town where she grew up, that she was a widow rather than say she was divorced. That seems crazy in the 21st century, but we realice it happens.

Now the question is how she did it, I don’t want to spoil the movie for you, but she did it by taking advantage of what in my country we might call a dirty old man who believed that a pretty young woman he could never have had access to, suddenly fell in love with him. Well, we have seen this kind of manipulation in countless real and fictional stories. As they say: it happens in life, it happens on TV.

Que tanto puede llegar a pesar la presión social y religiosa. Maje una muchacha de pueblo que quizás quería vivir mucho más antes de casarse o quizás nunca quiso casarse, pero lo hace para sentirse dentro de lo que la sociedad dicta como el deber ser. Lo que estaba claro para la familia y para el propio esposo es que había algo en ella que la guiaba hacia la infidelidad, pues le montó los cachos al novio poco antes de la boda y los integrantes de la familia no la querían, pero Antonio la perdonó y se casaron.
Porqué simplemente no divorciarte, eres una mujer joven, profesional, bonita, con una vida amorosa cubierta por novios y amantes para escoger de tamaños, colores y edades. La única respuesta es que para ella era mejor llegar y decir en casa de sus padres y en el pueblo donde creció, que era viuda en vez de decir que era divorciada. Eso en pleno siglo XXI suena loco, pero nos damos cuenta que si pasa.
Ahora la pregunta es cómo lo hizo, no quisiera estropearte la película, pero lo hizo aprovechándose de lo que podemos llamar en mi país un viejo verde que creía que una mujer joven y bonita a la que jamás hubiera podido tener acceso, de repente se enamoró de él. Bueno, este tipo de manipulación si lo hemos visto en infinidades de historias verdaderas y de ficción. Cómo dicen: pasa en la vida, pasa en la tv.

After reviewing the real story on the internet, I thought the casting people did an excellent job because the actress who played Maje is very similar to the real one, as well as the other character involved in the murder. So in that they earned 20 points in my opinion. I can only invite you to watch this story and get to know the cynicism and manipulation turned into a woman.

Después de revisar en internet la historia real me pareció que el encargado del casting hizo un excelente trabajo pues la actriz que interpretó a Maje es muy parecida a la verdadera, al igual que el otro personaje involucrado en el asesinato. Así que en eso se ganaron 20 puntos según mi opinión. No me queda mas que invitarte ver esta historia y a conocer el cinismo y la manipulación convertido en mujer.
