Squid Game // My opinion of the final season [ENG-ESP]

I did not write about the second season of this series, because in reality it had not reached any conclusion, but now that I finally finished watching the third season, which gave an end to the story that was presented to us in 2021 and that captivated us with the premise of using children’s games where adults participate in exchange for money but that can also lead to death in a very cruel way. As the second and third seasons are part of the same continuation as they are new games with new participants, I am going to write my opinion about both of them.

No escribí sobre la segunda temporada de esta serie, pues en realidad con ella no se había llegado a ninguna conclusión, pero ahora que por fin terminé de ver la tercera temporada, en la cual se dio final a la historia que nos presentaron en el 2021 y que nos cautivó con la premisa de usar juegos infantiles donde son los adultos los que participan a cambio de dinero pero que también pueden llegar a conseguir la muerte de una manera muy cruel. Cómo la segunda y la tercera temporada forman parte de la misma continuación pues son unos nuevos juegos con nuevos participantes, voy a escribir mi opinión sobre las dos.

As in the first season the participants are people in need, with many debts, but this time compared to the previous season the evil that exists within certain people was noticed, here human nature not only brought out their sense of survival but the competition without taking into account that they were playing with human life, there were more characters without conscience doing everything possible to be the winners than those who did what they had to do because they had no other choice.

I think that’s why the characters in my opinion did not make the audience empathize with them, in the second season Thanos made the social networks go crazy with the character but not because of his humanity but on the contrary and when he was eliminated we only had his necklace to remember him, which I did not like in the third season because it was devoted much space to the use of pills and the consequences of not having them.

Al igual que en la primera temporada los participantes son personas necesitadas, con muchas deudas, pero en esta ocasión en comparación con la temporada anterior se hizo notar la maldad que hay dentro de ciertas personas, aquí la naturaleza humana no solo saco su sentido de supervivencia sino el de competencia sin tomar en cuenta que estaban jugando con la vida humana, fueron más los personajes sin consciencia haciendo todo lo posible para ser los ganadores que los que hacían lo que les tocaba por qué no tenían más opción.

Creo que por eso mismo los personajes en mi opinión no lograron que el público empatizaran con ellos, en la segunda temporada Thanos logró que las redes sociales se volviera locas con el personaje pero no por su humanidad sino por todo lo contrario y al ser eliminado solo nos quedó su collar para recordarlo, lo que tampoco me gustó de la tercera pues se dedicó mucho espacio al uso de las pastillas y las consecuencias de no tenerlas.

There was not a character that reached the final and it hurt to see him die, really they all deserved the end they had, from player 456 who for a few chapters became annoying but then resumed his way of being and even took over the player 222 but was upset by the games, as well as the rest of the players who were losers, the 333 selfish to no more power, the player 100 opportunistic and so each of them had many more bad things than good. As for the characters that from the beginning showed to be good people with very bad luck, they died before the end, which means that you must have very bad intentions to go further. Although that’s what this series is about, to show the worst of people, what they would be capable of to survive and earn money, well, here human misery was shown in all its splendor.

The same thing happened with other characters that we had not been able to know anything about in the first season. The VIPs should be unscrupulous people who have fun watching people die, but one thing is to make them known and another is that the characters were so empty, with such a few coherent and unfunny dialogues, I really thought those scenes were very bad. In the case of the guards I liked getting to know them and knowing that like the players they are also normal people with problems but with a different job.

No hubo un personaje que llegara a la final y doliera verlo morir, de verdad todos merecían el final que tuvieron, desde el jugador 456 que por unos capítulos se volvía fastidioso pero que luego retomaba su forma de ser y hasta se hizo cargo de la jugadora 222 pero que estaba trastornado por los juegos, así como el resto de los jugadores que eran unos perdedores, el 333 egoísta hasta no más poder, el jugador 100 oportunista y así cada uno de ellos tenían muchas más cosas malas que buenas. En cuanto a los personajes que desde el principio mostraron ser buenas personas con muy mala suerte, murieron antes del final, lo que quiere decir que debes tener muy mala intención para llegar más lejos. Aunque de eso se trata está serie, de mostrar lo peor de la gente, de lo que serian capaz para lograr sobrevivir y ganar dinero, bueno, aquí se mostró la miseria humana en todo su esplendor.

Lo mismo pasó con otros personajes de los que no habíamos podido saber nada en la primera temporada. Los VIP tendrían que ser unas personas sin escrúpulos que se divierten viendo morir a las personas, pero una cosa es darlos a conocer y otra es que los personajes fueran tan vacíos, con unos diálogos tan pocos coherentes y sin gracia, de verdad me parecieron muy malas esas escenas. En el caso de los guardias me gustó el conocerlos y saber que al igual que los jugadores también son personas normales con problemas pero con un trabajo diferente.

As for the games nothing to say because I loved most of them, being my favorites grouped, jump rope, red light green light and group race with legs tied, but the game I did not like was the hide and seek where as I said at the beginning the protagonist was not survival but the excessive murder among participants, what I mean is not the same to see a player lose and be eliminated by the guards or by the same game to see them kill each other. With the end I was satisfied, player 456 earned respect for being different, now let's wait to see what comes in the future on this side of the world.

En cuanto a los juegos nada que decir pues me encantaron en su mayoría, siendo mis favoritos agrupados, salta la cuerda, luz roja luz verde y la carrera en grupo con las piernas atadas, pero el juego que no me gustó fue el escondite donde como dije al principio el protagonista no fue la supervivencia sino el asesinato desmedido entre los participantes, lo que quiero decir que no es lo mismo ver perder a un jugador y ser eliminado por los guardias o por el mismo juego a verlos matarse entre ellos. Con el final quedé satisfecha, el jugador 456 se ganó el respeto por ser diferente, ahora esperemos ver que viene en el futuro en este lado del mundo.
