Hello, you beautiful people! What are you watching these days? Are you more into discovering some new movies or your rather choose to binge your favorite, already-watched TV shows?

It's been more than a year since I posted the first blog like this, which contains 7 random top-rated movies from my IMDB list, and since I also promised you a a part 2, and 3 and more, but I totally forgot about it, pardon me. So now that I've apologized first, we can continue where we left off. ;D Enjoy the next 7, and I'll leave you a link to the previous one attached at the end of this.

The Negotiator (1998)
police procedural, suspense mystery, action, crime, drama, thriller
Stars: Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Spacey and David Morse
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120768/?ref_=rt_t_5

The Negotiator is one of those thrillers that pulls you in and doesn't let go. Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey deliver a masterclass in acting, keeping you glued with sharp dialogue and emotional tension that builds scene by scene. What makes this film stand out isn't just the action—it's the psychological chess match at its core. If you’re into intelligent thrillers that challenge your expectations without sacrificing entertainment, this one’s a must-watch.

The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)
one person army action, crime, drama, mystery
Stars: Geena Davis, Samuel L. Jackson and Yvonne Zima
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116908/?ref_=rt_t_6

This movie is everything an action-thriller should be. Geena Davis absolutely kills it as Samantha Caine, a sweet suburban mom with a secret assassin past she forgot—until it comes back with a bang. Paired with great Samuel L. Jackson (this man again, hihi :D) this movie deserves way more love. If you haven’t seen it yet— you should fix that.

Face/Off (1997)
action, crime, sci-fi, gun fu, thriller
Stars: John Travolta, Nicolas Cage and Joan Allen
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119094/?ref_=rt_t_9

Face/Off is pure cinematic madness—in the best possible way. Nicolas Cage and John Travolta go all-in with performances that are equal parts intense, unhinged, and weirdly brilliant. The concept is absolutely bonkers, but the film owns it so hard that you just go with it. If you're up for something bold, creative, and unforgettable, Face/Off delivers all of that and more.

Chaos (2005)
action, crime, drama, thriller
Stars: Jason Statham, Ryan Phillippe and Wesley Snipes
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0402910/?ref_=rt_t_17

Chaos is a sharp, underrated crime thriller that pulls you in with its dark tone, layered plot, and clever twists. Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes bring strong, commanding performances, while the movie steadily builds tension without relying on flashy action alone. It’s one of those films where nothing is quite what it seems. If you enjoy intelligent thrillers with a bit of grit and a lot of intrigue, Chaos is a hidden gem that definitely deserves more attention.

The Martian (2015)
space sci-fi, survival, drama, adventure
Stars: Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain and Kristen Wiig
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3659388/?ref_=rt_t_32

The Martian is a thrilling, uplifting, and surprisingly funny sci-fi adventure that showcases the best of human spirit and determination. This movie is visually stunning, brilliantly acted, and perfectly paced, striking a balance between tension and lighthearted moments. It’s a smart, inspiring story that keeps you engaged from beginning to end—one of those rare movies that leaves you feeling genuinely good afterward. A fantastic watch that I’d highly recommend to anyone.

Guardians of the Formula (2023)
biography, drama, history, thriller
Stars: Alexis Manenti, Radivoje Bukvic and Lionel Abelanski
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt20365920/?ref_=rt_t_37

As a Serbian woman, this film touched me deeply. Guardians of the Formula is a powerful, emotional masterpiece that honors a piece of our history with incredible depth and dignity. The performances are outstanding, the atmosphere intense, and the storytelling so moving that I found myself in tears more than once. It’s a film that makes you proud, breaks your heart, and stays with you long after the credits roll. For me, it’s a perfect 10/10. SPOILER ALERT! Movie plot ↓

! [Click to reveal] Set in 1958 during the Cold War, Guardians of the Formula is inspired by true events surrounding a nuclear incident at the Vinča Scientific Institute near Belgrade. The story follows a group of Yugoslav scientists who, after being exposed to lethal radiation during a secret project, are covertly transported to the Curie Institute in Paris for groundbreaking medical treatment. This leads to the first-ever human bone marrow transplant, highlighting themes of survival, scientific ethics, and international collaboration amidst political tensions.

The Platform (2019)
dystopian sci-fi, prison drama, horror, mystery, thriller
Stars: Ivan Massagué, Zorion Eguileor and Antonia San Juan
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8228288/?ref_=rt_t_40

The Platform is a gripping, thought-provoking thriller that blends social commentary with intense suspense. Set in a mysterious vertical prison, the film explores themes of survival, inequality, and human nature in a brutal, dystopian setting. The concept is both unique and unsettling, keeping you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. With its clever direction, strong performances, and chilling atmosphere, The Platform makes a lasting impact, offering both a visually and mentally stimulating experience. It’s a must-watch for fans of intense, high-concept films.

Of all the films on this list I think the one that hit me the hardest was "The Platform" and what it says about society. Great acting, great concept, and plenty of twists to keep the audience interested. I never saw the 2nd installment but I heard that it was a letdown.

I watched the first part last year, I somewhat avoided it sicce the year it came out for fear of being disappointed and that it wouldn't be a movie for me. I was amazed! Great movie, plus I like that actor from El Barco, the TV show of my teen age! I was actualy blown away with this one. As for the second part, didn't even knew it was out until I started writing this blog last night, I haven't watched the trailer yet, but it seems to me that it's not good enough because it didn't resonate so I found out right away that the second part even exists. :D Although, I'll probably watch it, but now that you say so, without any excessive expectations.

Thanks for a reply. Have a nice day!
