I thought I was the only one who felt this way about 30 Days of Night 😂 I watched it years ago thinking the concept was genius—vampires in a place with a full month of darkness? Yes, please. But what a waste of a solid premise.
You nailed it with this one ! this film felt like it was stitched together from five different drafts of five different movies. So much potential, totally down the drain.

The inconsistencies really bothered me in this one. I found out that somebody and Roger Ebert, it might have been he himself that said this, that the lack of continuity was a game-breaker for him as well.
If the vamps are going to be superpowered, have them stay that way or have some sort of kryptonite that is discovered that turns the tide, but for the powers to just not be there all of a sudden because the plot calls for it? that's just stupid.
