My Thoughts and Ratings on the Movie: Is God Is (2026)

One of two really good movies that I've watched during my home time off the truck. I remember seeing the trailer for this a while back in theatres and thinking, "Looks like a good concept, but will probably miss the mark for me." I was so wrong! I ended up watching the movie after randomly seeing it in a YouTube thumbnail and deciding to give it a try. So glad I took the chance and watched Is GodIs.

Is God Is is a really good revenge story that follows two sisters sent on a mission by their mother to kill their father, who had burned them when they were little girls. The twin sisters have very different personalities, which helps see the assignment of killing their father from two points of view throughout their journey. The story is really dramatic. I had a lot of feelings towards the characters in the movie, the challenges they faced, and how each character handled their part in the story.

The movie was really well written and used good imagery throughout the film to get the correct feel across each scene. The dailog felt appropriate in each section. The drama was dramatic, the comedy was funny, and the action was intense. And It was all done well without being corny.

I felt the pain of the mom and the twin sisters of the movie. Even if you dont agree with her calling her girls to kill her ex for what he had done to them, you felt where she was coming from. Especially as they reveal more about the father throughout the movie. The dude really was pure evil. An asshole that needed to pay for what he had done to those girls and other people throughout the movie. He was a good villan in the sense that as a viewer you can't help but to hate their father.

In the end, Is God Is turned out to be a moovie that I unexpectedly thoroughly enjoyed. It gave western, Kill Bill, Boondocks vibes. The casting, the story, and the performance by everyone involved was excicuted really well. I watched this with a friend without knowing how emotional the movie would be but we both felt the movie was really good and to the point without a lot of filler and fluff.
