I just watched and did a review of the new movie, you HAVE to watch it, it's so good! I used to love the Lilo and Stitch show but after watching the new movie I want to go back and watch the original now. Based on your post the movie sounds super similar but has more of a modern touch on certain things for a 2025 audience.
Amazing adventure though!
