Baahubali, An Indian Epic Action Movie Review.
Bringing to you one of my favorite Indian epic movies of all time titled, Baahubali. Betrayal is a big aspect of this life and everyday, we find people betray each other. It’s nothing new and watching them in movies is a way of sending us a warning about anyone we trust.
Baahubali, a movie which was acted in Tegulu and Tamil language speaks about love, betrayal and loyalty. Movies are meant to entertain us but as for this, it left me emotional and I can rewatch the movie over and over again.
Movie plot
The captain’s wife of Amburi tribe, Sanga adopted a baby carried by a late woman who emerged from a cave under the mountain. The baby was saved by the gods on the river but later got taken out by the people of Amburi. Siva, the baby was named by Sanga.
Siva, a boy who grew up to loving ascending from the mountain lifts a lingam of Lord Shiva. Immediately, a mask falls from above and Siva was bent on looking for its owner.
Siva meets Avantika, the owner of the mask and hears different stories from her especially about how she departed from Mahishmati, the village. He disguises as a guard and infiltrated the Kingdom so he can rescue Devasena. Bhadra and Kattappa goes in search of Siva for rescuing Devasena.
Eventually, Siva got into a fight with Bhadra and beheads him. In a tale that Siva heard with his parents, they wished to meet Baahubali but it was revealed that Bhadra is the real Mahendra Baahubali and the woman who saved him was his grandmother, Queen Sivagami.
What do I like or hate about the movie
It’s crazy how everything leads to death. This movie kinda tells us about the Indian tradition and how they take their gods seriously. I really do not like the fact that almost everything leads to death.
The killings were a lot and many times, I wonder if the world was like this or if we killed each other after every little offense, so many people will be late now. I also do not like the fact that, Siva’s parents heard the tale of Baahubali after he died and the worst part of it is that Siva killed him. That’s a twist!
How this movie influences me and the people around me
It made me think about the Indian culture and made me more interested. This shows how much the Indian people cherish their gods. I’m from an African country where we have real gods but we do not take them seriously because most people are now practicing other religions.
Talking about Indians, they are always ready and happy to believe their gods and it works for them. Many times, I wish we could just be like Indians so we can get used to our gods and that can as well preserve our culture.
The most memorable scene in the movie
Even though there are so many lovely scenes, I think no one is better than the first scene. As short as the first scene is, there was a suspense. At first, I thought the two men will kill the woman carrying the baby and take the baby. They went in search of her but things turned around. She killed them!
Secondly, I thought the baby was going to drown as well but he didn’t. The gods of Indian really saved the baby that they kept him alive on the water before the people of Ambuli tribe came to save him.
Baahubali is divided into two parts which are the beginning and conclusion. There is no way you will watch the beginning and not want to watch the conclusion because of how interesting it is.
I highly recommend this movie to everyone especially people who wish to know more about the Indian tradition. It’s an interesting movie that deserves 9/10 rating. Watch it and you will love it!
Thanks for reading
I liked this film. It's one of those that I watched to the end. The scenes kept me on the edge of the couch, lol! And yes, it did make me ponder things like death, faith, and such.
