CineTV Contest: All Of Us Are Dead; An Iconic, Bingeable TV Show.
Hello to all my friends on CineTV. I’m excited to share with you a beautiful moment of a time when I had a bingeable experience with a television show. First of all, the title, All of us are dead was so captivating that I decided to give it a try and to my surprise, it was worth it.
I believe that we sometimes fall in love with things we never thought we would. Just like All of us are dead, a South Korean horror movie which centers around a group of high school students and their survival amidst a zombie outbreak.
I never imagined loving horror television shows but for this, I’ll give it a watch over and over.
The Show Plot
Byeong-chan, the science teacher of Hyosan high school witnesses one of his students, Kim Hyeon-ju get bitten by an infected hamster which turns people to a zombie, then locks her up. She escapes on the next day and bites a school nurse. Unfortunately, the zombie attack started spreading through the whole of South Korea and there was a zombie outbreak.
During the zombie outbreak, there was restriction of movement and some students remained in school. Some were infected and some were not. The ones who were not infected tried to protect themselves but some got bitten by their friends who turned zombies.
The television show became more emotional when parents who were firefighters, doctors and police went to Hyosan high school and some witnessed their kids bitten by zombies but On-jo’s father sacrifices himself to be bitten by zombies and allows his daughter to escape with her peers who were not infected.
At last, a few students reunite after the end of the outbreak and they all mourned their friends who became zombies and died. Nam-ra reveals that there are other people who are half zombies just like herself.
All of us are dead isn’t just a television show. It’s an emotional television show that proves the important of family. Let’s reflect back to when Nam So-ju, On-jo’s father sacrifices himself for the students, especially his daughter. It makes me imagine how bad it would be to witness one’s father or family member bitten by zombie just to save you. No other person can sacrifice his or her life for someone aside from the family member.
To be honest, I lost focus on other things while watching this television show. It can be very addictive that you may want to suspend your important activities just to watch the television show.
I remember how I skipped my meals all because I didn’t want to stand up to miss a scene and I think a big kudos goes to actor Yoo In-soo who played the role of Gwi Nam in the show. Even before the zombie outbreak, he was hostile to all students especially a boy named Cheong-San who was loved by other students.
He achieved his aim of biting Cheong-San and made him a zombie. Gwi Nam made the show a very bingeable one because all I had in my head was “what will Gwi Nam do next? Will he bite Cheong San?”. That felt like the highest suspense in the show and makes it bingeable.
I feel like the eye bags that I developed while watching this television show was worth it. I sacrificed my sleep just to make sure that I see the end of this television show and I eventually did. My watch was worth the hype and I feel it still doesn’t have enough hype as a bingeable show. It deserves more hype.
I’ll rate it 9/10 and when you eventually watch it, you may even rate it higher. All of us are dead will continue to be my favorite bingeable television show till another one is released.
Thanks to you all for reading.
