CineTV Contest: Mamma Mia ~ A Musical Romance Comedy Film.
Hello, great movie lovers. The year is running by so fast and one important thing I learned is that not only money makes you happy. Even watching a good and interesting film will make you happy and truly, there is that movie that keeps me happy whenever I see it on my television screen.
Even though there are so many movies that makes me happy and put a smile on my face, there is still no movie that makes me happy than Mamma Mia!
Mamma Mia is a musical comedy film directed by Phyllida Lloyd which centers around a bride who wishes to know her biological father.
Movie Plot
The bride-to-be Sophie Sheridan exposes to her friends and bridesmaids about inviting three men who she thinks one of them is her father to the Greek Island of Kalokairi without letting her mother, Donna know about it. Her aim was to make sure that one of them gives her away to the groom-to-be.
The three men are Sam Carmichael, Bill Anderson, and Harry Bright. Even though Sophie never knows who her biological father is, she decided to keep them in Donna’s goat house even without her knowledge.
Finally, Donna sees herself facing her three ex lovers and feels distressed about their presence. For the second time, Donna falls in love with Sam again and they both got married while Sophie’s wedding ceremony was postponed.
The three men decided not to have a paternity test so they all agreed to be one-third fathers of Sophie.
What I loved or hated about the movie
Before revealing what I love, maybe what I hated should go first which is absolutely nothing. Even though I can’t call this a totally perfect movie, I still do not hate anything about this movie that makes me happy.
What I loved about it is how Sam Carmichael and Donna reconciled. I’m an advocate for love and if it is possible, I don’t ever want people to get separated. I really loved how Donna and Sam got back together.
Another thing which I loved about it is how the three men came to conclusion that Sophie’s paternity test won’t be done. That shows that they all love her and want to father her so that’s beautiful to know. It’s very rare in my part of the world to see that happen.
How it influenced me (and/or people around you)
It’s so funny how you may link up with your ex today, you two get talking and get back together. That’s to show that love never fades. Even though you feel you both have been apart for the longest time, you guys can still get back together.
I think this movie inspires me to say that never quarrel nor hate your ex and that’s because you two may become lovers again tomorrow. Love works like magic.
What part of it do I find interesting?
A part which I’ve felt before. It reminds me of my past experience when I met two of my exes in an elevator. My favorite part is where Donna sees her three exes in her goat house.
She was overwhelmed and confused. That was like the most awkward moment in her entire life. It’s interesting because I wondered what will happen at that moment.
Was a fight going to break out? Were the men going to fight over her or what was going to happen? These were the questions that ran through my mind. I guess that’s the part with the most suspense in the movie and that’s why I find it most interesting.
If you want to watch a movie that’s going to make you happy, you can go for this and you will so much enjoy it.
I will rate this movie 9.5/10. You may want to know why I rated it that high because it is worth it.
This is my entry for the CineTV contest. Thanks to you all for reading.
