I feel movies shouldn’t be movies only because we watch and enjoy them. Movies creates memories as well. Also, I’m a huge fan of repeating movies as long as it makes me feel good and relaxed.
For the CineTV contest, I’ll share the movie that makes me feel relaxed titled Miss Granny

Miss Granny is a South Korean comedy movie. I think one thing which makes me feel relaxed is the comedy in the movie. As an emotional person, I love to go for movies that wouldn’t touch my soul that much and if it does, it should only make me smile and relaxed just as I feel whenever I decide to watch Miss Granny over and over again.

Plot

A widow, Mal-soon who lives with her son Hyun-chul and his family has a difficult relationship with her daughter in-law, Ae-ja.
After depressed Ae-ja accidentally collapsed and got hospitalized, the doctor gave a strong warning that Ae-ja should stay away from Mal-soon because of her medical condition.

Hyun-chul then took a bold step by sending his mother, Mal-soon to a nursing home but she was unhappy and started to wander the streets of Korea when she found a mysterious photo studio and coming out of the studio, she became a fresh twenty year old lady.

Immediately, she changed her name to Doo-ri and hides from her son and his family. But, people could notice that Doo-ri speaks, walks and act way older than her age. Then, she joined a music band owned by her unknown grandson, Ji-ha which became successful with her as a vocalist.

Sadly, she lost the power and became an old woman again after donating blood to save her grandson.

How does this movie influence me?

Do you know how many things I thought about when watching the movie? And for real, many times, I just want to be younger again. Maybe twenty years younger and to check if I will use that time and opportunity well.

Sometimes, when I think of getting the power to look younger, I still say to myself that it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t still make mistakes. But if I have the opportunity to be a miss granny, I’d love to do that for three days.

What’s my favorite scene?

I have a lot of lovely scenes but aside from the scenes where Doo-ri was acting like old Mal-soon, I love the end part of the movie.
At last, Park, an ex-café worker friend of Mal-soon picks her up at the bus stop so they can go wherever they want to go.

Do you know why this is my best scene? It kept putting some thoughts into my head. What if Park doesn’t like Doo-ri anymore since has turned back to Mal-soon but the most amazing thing happened. Despite Mal-soon looking like her old self again, Park still liked her and this shows that love leads.
I think this is one of the greatest lessons so far in this movie.

Will I watch this movie again? Yes. I think this movie shows the relationship and experience that so many woman have with their mother-in-laws. To some women, they have the best experiences ever and it some, it’s usually awful.

I know so many women will be able to relate to this movie. I love that it makes me feel relaxed and this should make you feel that way too.

I’ll rate it 8/10 and if you give it a watch, you may as well give it a higher rating.

Thanks for reading
