As a horror movie fan, I find Insidious to be one of the best. This movie is very well made and the cinematography is superb. The camerawork and framing are also superb. Color grading is integral to the tone and mood of the film. Other excellent horror movies include Raw, The Witch, and The Guest. I've listed the best three in this list in the order of their horror-scare-quotient.

This horror movie is a classic haunted house movie. The main characters are the Lambert family, led by Josh Wilson and Renai Byrne. The family soon becomes plagued with an evil presence and the son Dalton is taken away from them. But the Lamberts' fear is unmatched. The movie's suspense is built on a creepy atmosphere that isn't over-the-top, and it's a great way to scare and chill viewers.

This horror movie was a major hit, making it one of the most important movies of the decade. Premiering at the TIFF in September 2010 and becoming commercially released in April 2011, Insidious was a sensation. Its purposeful pacing and staging, along with its heart-stopping soundtrack, made it a cult classic.

One of the best parts of the movie is how the characters' appearances change as the story progresses. It's not just the actors or locations, but the lighting and sound are essential in creating the right atmosphere for the movie to work. Despite the low-quality visuals, the editing is top-notch.

Insidious is a PG-13 horror movie. It follows a family living in a new house where their son falls into a coma and mysteriously disappears. When the family escapes, they discover that their son is not alone. The family then decides to leave the house, only to discover that it wasn't the house that caused the trouble. Insidious raised the bar on scares and even spawned three sequels.

The Conjuring is a fantastic proof that horror is more than just a cheap thrill ride. It cleverly leads the audience down a dark pit, leaving them reeling in fear. The film is an over-achiever, but I can't deny that it makes for a great night of scares.

The film is based on an out-of-body experience known as astral projection. Dalton has slipped into an unconscious state after a traumatic event and hasn't been able to come back. The Man With a Red Face has taken his soul, so the story begins to mutate. The supernatural is slowly woven into the family's life and the characters' personalities.

The plot of Insidious revolves around a family of five. The parents are a musician and teacher. Three months later, the family starts experiencing a number of ominous and creepy things. Break-ins and ghosts start to appear. Ultimately, the family moves to another house, where the supernatural activity continues unabated. But they don't know how to cope with the horrors that await them.

Despite the polarizing nature of the horror genre, Insidious is an enduring classic that changed the game. I'm still horrified by it, but I won't forget it.
