From my backlog of PIZZA weekend events that I've missed over the weekend, I now bring you the next day's double Event lineup! ✌🏻✌🏻

First, we have PIZZA Gaming aka "Planetside 2 with the Za Battalion" as PIZZA Guild is now known as ingame 🕹️🎮👾, followed by our bi-monthly PIZZA Movie Night! 🍿🎬🎥🍕

As always, Pizza Movie screenings will only screen PUBLIC DOMAIN movies. As PIZZA gains more crowds and visibility, we have to ensure that no laws are broken which would compromise the entire project. However, I wouldn't be too concerned as there're still lots of classics to enjoy, as we delve further back into movie history! 🍿🎬🎥🍕🍕🍕

No surprise as to who's sounding the battle call to arms for Planetside. 😜 Good ol' reliable @huzzah is always around to remind everyone. 📯🔊📢

Some minor discussions about the Returns on Investment in Rising Star. @wanderingmoon you're really missing out. @ravenmus1c and @thebeardflex (and myself) can attest to it being one of the most lucrative games on HIVE at the moment. Hopefully we've managed to change your mind 😉🤑

As usual, we've got a regular core group of players (and spectators like me 🤣), so if you're a gamer looking to join a group to play with, feel free to join us anytime. 😉

🍿🎬🎥MOVIE NIGHT🍿🎬🎥

Every weekend, PIZZA hosts a Movie Night for anyone interested to join in. Makes for a good bonding session or even a random movie to pick up if you're one of those who can't choose from the plethora of choices out there! 🤣

And the winner with the most VOTES for today's MOVIE NIGHT is....

Hehe! I think @creodas has decided to rig the choices today. Any horror option would have won the vote for sure. So we've got a science fiction, comedy and romance option to choose from. Although now that I think about it, the unknown "others" choice MIGHT have been that horror option after all. 😱

Released in 1968, Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women, isn't quite your usual movie. Upon further research, I found out that this movie was created with footage taken from the 1962 Soviet film Planeta Bur. Planeta Bur was scripted by Alexander Kazantsev from his novel and directed by Pavel Klushantsev. This adaptation, directed by Peter Bogdanovich, included new scenes added that starred Mamie Van Doren.

The movie takes place in the "far future of 1998" 🤣 (we're living way beyond the future now in 2022), where a team of astronauts land on the planet Venus in an apparent rescue mission of the previous team who landed and lost contact.

They're attacked by what seems like a Pterosaur and kill it. That flying dinosaur 😂 is however worshipped as a God by the inhabitants of Venus who're (surprise?) all blonde females in seashell covered bikinis. 👙🧜🏻‍♀️

The women of Venus have some "Nature Magic Powers" and attempt to kill the astronauts in retaliation. The volcanic fire called down only destroyed the astronauts robot companion whilst they made their escape off the planet. 🌋🌋🌋

The movie ends with the charred remains of the Robot ironically becoming the new object of worship for the Womean of Venus. 🤯😵‍💫

Ok, with that review out of the way, my personal opinion of the movie was that it was really bad. And not the campy "so good it's bad", but just plain bad 🤣. It might have been because of the recycled footage they were trying to stich together, or the terrible storyline which didn't make any sense. The entire movie was probably marketed using Mamie Van Doren being the key draw here.

Fun fact! Mamie Van Doren was supposed to be Universal's answer to 20th Century Fox's mega star Marilyn Monroe. Although she never came close to Marilyn's superstardom (lets be honest here, no one was going to supersede peak Marilyn 😍), she gained some fame being known as one of "The Three M's" of Hollywood (Marilyn, Mamie, and Mansfield), all of whom were the blonde bombshells of that era. 👩🏼👩🏼👩🏼

If you're undeterred and still want to experience this movie though, feel free to google it and watch it on youtube or some other website. 😉 It's a public domain movie and easily accessible online.
