Movie Review: forest Grump
The movie I am about to review is something that I have watched before , I stumbled upon it again and decided to watch it again and decided to share with you guys.
honestly, it’s one of those movies that leaves you thinking about it long after the credits roll.
The story is centered around Forrest, a character played by Tom Hanks, with a heart bigger than most people, his view about life is very simple.
He doesn’t have the highest IQ, yet somehow, he ends up in the middle of some of the biggest events in American history without really trying.
The first scene opened with Forrest sitting down in a bench, was in deep thought and was narrating the story of his life to whoever he thinks was sitting close to him.
growing up with leg braces, being teased by other kids, and how his mom never let him feel less than anyone else seemed to be what he was talking about.
Then ona very good day, he made this amazing discovery, which is that he has yhe ability to run faster than anyone else.
That was when everything started changing for him, He gets a football scholarship, and from there life keeps surprising him — the army, Vietnam, playing ping pong for the country, running across America, even starting his own shrimp business.
But what really stays with you is his love for Jenny. She’s his childhood friend and the person he keeps coming back to, no matter how far apart they are. Their relationship is sweet but also sad at times. She’s fighting her own battles while Forrest never stops loving her.
What I liked most is how his honesty and kindness seem to touch everyone he meets.
I feel the reason he ends up doing what most people dream of is because he doesn't live a life of pretence.
Tom Hanks makes you believe every bit of it. The music in the film fits so well you almost don’t notice it’s there until you realize how much it sets the mood.
The ending is emotional.
You start thinking how life how quickly life can change in a way you never saw it coming.
Like Forrest says, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”
If you’ve never seen Forrest Gump, I’d say put it on your list.
it is not just funny,it is touching and emotional.
