BRO NEWSPAPER | ISSUE 9 | 2022

Welcome to a new week, and therefore a new BRO NEWSPAPER. I don't know which of you follow the news a bit, but we can say that we live in a stormy time ... both on the political world front, and with the weather in the last week. Fortunately, it is a little less stormy on Hive! Of course that doesn't mean nothing happened. On the contrary! So let's take a look at what's in store this week.

Over the past few months, a lot of hard work has gone into engagement. In particular, through the hard work of our Social Media Manager, @thisismylife, Twitter has become a source of activity, as well as a source of inspiration for the ever-growing group of followers. Every day, or every few days, there is a new writing prompt that anyone can jump to without any obligation. And the subjects are diverse, but of course always related to film and TV! (Hopefully you didn't expect anything else?)

Is this all? No absolutely not. The curation has been taken very seriously in collaboration with Oneup. So if you write high-quality posts related to film & TV, use our official tags to become visible to our curators. Our official tags are #cinetv & #cine. But of course it's even better if you use our official frontend. Then you can be sure that we don't miss you.

And our contest is back! This time it's time for you to dig into your memory and tell us what is the most romantic movie for you. Do you have a thing for Ghost, or more with Dirty Dancing? I'll name just two that come to mind so quickly, but since I'm not much of a cinephile I assume you can refresh my memory. We look forward to reading all the submissions and hope for a few swoon-worthy hours!

Since I haven't been online much this week due to various circumstances, I only really started looking for everything that had happened, and of the first things that caught my eye came from;

ONEUP

What we can read today is a fantastic collaboration from Oneup and Hive.Pizza. How great is that? Both tribes that are continuously working hard on the road are joining forces to bring us all even more great things. How about a ONEUP / PIZZA pool, for example? If you want to know everything that is described, be sure to click on the link that takes you to the post where you can read everything @flauwy has to say about it. But it is clear that it is again a positive development that will lead to even more growth of ONEUP and Hive.Pizza!

And a few days earlier you could already read the announcement in Oneup's discord that there was good news for CARTEL holders again. Everyone can get ready for a new airdrop! In addition, there may be more good news soon, because even though the CARTEL price will increase by 2 dollars per token, it will soon be possible to vote whether the dividends will start, or whether there will be another 3 months to grow . After which it will be reconsidered whether the dividends will start.

Exciting times within the Oneup Tribe, and a heads up for everyone. Time to replenish your CARTEL holdings perhaps?

And now that we've already talked about Hive.Pizza, let's go straight to see what else happened there. Are you reading along?

HIVE.PIZZA

I'm sure it's old news for many of you, the new update post from @thebeardflex will probably be posted later today or tomorrow. But for anyone who hasn't had the time to update themselves on the Hive.Pizza tribe... quite a bit has happened since the last time I wrote about this tribe.

Then the staking program had just been launched. This is now ongoing and as you can read, this is only the first phase of the project. The rewards are paid every day without any problems, and because of these rewards and of course people who buy PIZZA, quite a few people have already leveled up with regard to their PIZZA holdings. Not strange of course, who doesn't like a few PIZZAs every now and then?

Then Pizza opened their scholarships to everyone who has staked PIZZA in Hive-Engine. This was already a bit longer for Splinterlands, Pizza has a large guild! But did you know that you can also apply for a scholarship to HashKings?

There are still several updates to read, and certainly expected. Even though I hadn't included PIZZA in the Bro Newspaper for a while, this certainly didn't mean that this tribe was sitting still. It is and remains a tribe to keep an eye on because the activity is large and the community is very active.

From the Oneup gaming talks to the Pizza, and now? I feel it's time for another small game talk! We have another very active gaming tribe here. Of course I'm talking about;

If you are present in the THGaming discord, you have probably noticed that there is often a signal that new messages can be read. And usually that's in the announcement channel. This alone could tell you that people here are actively working on growing their development.

So let's take a look at some of the latest announcements. First up, the announcement made today. The necessary BEE tokens have been purchased, and these will ensure that TOKEN DELEGATION is made possible from tomorrow. The announcement post for this, telling you exactly what will be enabled can be read here

Next up is the THGaming Curation Bot! Nice one guys!

Then the next thing, at THGaming they are of course quite game-oriented, you might not expect it, but it really is. And because they're quite game-oriented, of course, they also have guilds for Splinterlands. If you are looking for a guild, check out this post here. Who knows, you might be looking for each other!

If you're not really into gaming, but more into liquidity pools, this post will probably make you very happy.

DID YOU KNOW THAT;

• The BROmance I wrote about last week now seems to have cooled down somewhat. At least I haven't seen it as obvious as last week. Now of course I don't know what could be going on in DM. But so far I haven't seen these two people visit each other that often this week. Too bad because a BROmance would have been a nice topic for our weekly gossip hour.
  
  

• Our @raymondspeaks has been absent remarkably often in the past week. And I can't help but wonder if there's something more going on. We all know that Ray works hard for Bro, but I also remember that Ray found that British actress interesting, and Ray's wife didn't like that much... Could Ray have had something to make up with his wife, and therefor spend a lot of extra time with her and his son?
  
  

• @melbourneswest's token Skippy seemed to have fallen silent for a while, but no worries! This week I suddenly saw a kangaroo crossing Hive-Engine, and it seems that Skippy is jumping again.
  Now I just want to know if the many Skippies I have at the BSC still count, or should I buy Hive-Engine Skippies again?
  
  

• @jjb777, also known as the 777j's loves to buy NFTs. And has even start to play Splinterlands after owning the cards for several years without doing anything with them.
  I wonder if the drop in value of the cards has something to do with that, starting to play to make some value back with his cards
  
  

• @beardoin has a very special take on Ethereum. "It's like Pringles, once you start you can't stop".
  I hope for Ethereum it doesn't break in half as quickly as Pringles do.
  
  

• And then of course we still have to deal with the necessary health updates in these times of pandemic. But luckily for @teenagecrypto, he tested negative for covid-19. He obviously showed this proudly in the Mancave.
  
  

We pretend to not have seen all the positive tests, at least he tested negative for Covid!

• And the latest gossip for the day has me completely in doubt again. Where Ray found that British actress very attractive, remember? He sometimes says contradictory things. As recently in a conversation with @papacrusher! Then suddenly you see Ray saying "I'd love to grab you to talk about masculinity!" Yes, I'm not sure, but would @trumpman be right about saying "Gay" to Ray very affectionately every day? Although you can also ask yourself how it is that Trumpman is so well aware of this. Would @ruthgirl know this too?
