CineTV Contest: A Dog's Purpose (Esp/ Eng)

I love movies, but I have a weakness, I love movies that have to do with pets, because I am an animal lover, more specifically pets, because they are the ones we have more contact with, because they are at home, in our daily lives. I have had dogs and now a kitten; so when I see a movie with one of them as the main character, I connect with it at once. But there is one that left a mark on me, because of all the feelings I experienced when I saw it, and that is "A Dog's Purpose".

This movie, when I saw it, I didn't imagine that it would touch me so much. It started very innocently, with a mother and her son, when they rescue a little puppy from an old van and save him from suffocating to death because of the heat and hunger, from there the story of the little boy named Ethan and the puppy named by him as Bailey is born. These two become inseparable, but as the story unfolds, Bailey, as his thoughts unfold audibly in the film, always wondering for what purpose he had come into the world.

When he first meets Ethan he thinks it was to be with him, but then he discovers through different lives he experiences, reincarnating in different dogs that not only was Ethan his purpose, but also to come into the lives of other people who needed his companionship, love and friendship. In some lives they did relatively badly, in others they did very well and so the film went on between their different reincarnations; Bailey changed his breed and even his sex, but inside him he was still Ethan's dog, the boy who gave him his first love.

There were several scenes in which tears were not lacking, like when he dies for the first time, when Ethan is already a man, there I started to cry ha, ha, ha, ha, there were others in which it was very funny to see him develop or "help" his masters, especially to find love or learn to deal with sadness or loneliness; but one of the scenes that impacted me the most was when Bailey was reincarnated as a dog and trained as a police canine. After leaving the canine school, she was assigned to a human policeman as a partner, a single widowed man, who at first did not adapt to her, but then they became inseparable, due to Bailey's loyalty and love.

The scene that broke my soul, was when in a chase, Bailey, (the dog) goes in pursuit with her human partner following some dangerous thugs and one of them shoots her seriously wounding her, but not before having saved her human, that scene made me want to be inside the movie and help the dog, it was heartbreaking to see how the policeman cried and asked for help with a heartbreaking pain. I know that pain and it's when you lose your pet in a horrible way..., maybe that's why I cried so much with that scene, it made me remember...

But not everything was tears, I also laughed a lot, like when Bailey finally after several reincarnations is reunited with his beloved Ethan. At first he doesn't recognize him, but soon Bailey made himself recognized by a trick Ethan had taught him when he was a puppy. He very cleverly made Ethan realize who he was and it was very satisfying to see when he finally realized that who was in front of him was his beloved Bailey, I was very excited.

This was almost at the end of the movie and finally Bailey was going to end up with who he started out happy as can be. He became wiser, because he knew of human evil, but also of the purest loves, the love of children and of the good people with whom he lived all those years. To each one he left his mark and good memories, enhancing the meaning of family and how he was part of them; so much so that it left me wondering if the animals would also think like him, ha, ha, ha, ha. It is a movie that leaves you with a feeling of tenderness towards your pets and gives you very good reflections; so I recommend it 100/.

A mí me encanta el cine, pero tengo una debilidad, las películas que tengan que ver con mascotas me encantan, ya que soy amante de los animales, de las mascotas más específicamente, porque son con las que más tenemos contacto, porque están en casa, en nuestro día a día. He tenido perros y ahora una gatita; entonces cuando veo alguna película con uno de ellos como protagonistas, de una vez me conecto con ella. Pero hay una que me dejo huellas, por todo los sentimientos que experimente al verla y es "El propósito de un perro ".

Esta película, cuando la vi, no me imaginé que fuera a llegarme tanto. Empezó muy inocentemente, con una madre y su hijo, cuando rescatan a un pequeño cachorro de una vieja camioneta y le salvan de morir asfixiado por el calor y el hambre, de allí nace la historia del pequeño niño llamado Ethan y del cachorro bautizado por el cómo Bailey. Estos dos se vuelven inseparables, pero a medida que se desarrolla la historia, Bailey, va desplegando sus pensamientos en forma audible en la película, preguntándose siempre con qué propósito había venido él al mundo.

Cuando conoce a Ethan piensa que era para estar con él, pero luego va descubriendo a través de diferentes vidas, que experimenta, reencarnando en diferentes perros que no solamente Ethan era su propósito, sino también llegar a la vida de otras personas que necesitaron de su compañía, amor y amistad. En unas vidas les fue relativamente mal, en otras le fue muy bien y así fue transcurriendo la película entre sus diferentes reencarnaciones; Bailey cambiaba de raza hasta de sexo, pero dentro de él seguía siendo el perro de Ethan, aquel niño que le dio su primer amor.

Hubo varias escenas en que las lágrimas no faltaron, como cuando muere por primera vez, estando ya Ethan un hombre, ahí empecé a llorar ja, ja, ja, hubo otras en que era muy divertido verlo desarrollarse o "ayudar" a sus amos, sobre todo para que encontraran el amor o aprendieran a lidiar con las tristezas o soledad; pero una de las escenas que más me impacto fue cuando Bailey reencarno como una perra y la entrenaron como una canina policial. Al salir de la escuela canina, se la adjudicaron a un policía humano, como pareja, un hombre solo viudo, quien al principio no se adaptaba a ella, pero luego se volvieron inseparables, ante la lealtad y el amor de Bailey.

La escena, en la que el alma se me partió, fue cuando en una persecución, Bailey, (la perrita)sale en persecución con su pareja humana siguiendo a unos peligrosos maleantes y uno de ellos le dispara hiriéndola de gravedad, no sin antes haber salvado a su humano, esa escena me hizo querer estar dentro de la película y auxiliar a la perra, fue desgarrador ver como el policía lloraba y pedía ayuda con un dolor desgarrador. Conozco ese dolor y es cuando pierdes a tu mascota de manera, horrible..., quizás por eso, llore tanto con esa escena, me hizo recordar...

Pero no todo fue lágrimas, también me reí mucho, como cuando por fin Bailey después de varias reencarnaciones se reencuentra con su querido Ethan. Al principio este no lo reconoce, pero pronto Bailey se hizo reconocer por un truco que Ethan le había enseñado siendo un cachorro. Él muy inteligentemente hizo que Ethan se diera cuenta quién era y fue muy satisfactorio ver cuando este por fin cayó en cuenta que quien estaba enfrente de él era su adorado Bailey, ahí me emocione muchísimo.

Ya esto fue casi al final de la película y por fin Bailey iba a terminar con quien comenzó feliz de la vida. Se volvió más sabio, porque conoció de la maldad humana, pero también de los amores más puros, el de los niños y el de las buenas personas con quienes vivió en todos esos años. A cada uno les fue dejando su huella y buenos recuerdos, realzando el significado de la familia y el cómo formó parte de ellas; tanto así que me dejo pensando si los animales, pensaran también como él, ja, ja, ja. Es una película que te deja con una sensación, de ternura hacia tus mascotas y te da muy buenas reflexiones; así es que la recomiendo al 100/.
