The only way Evil can win is If Good men do Nothing

How cruel can war be, where the breast of breastfeeding mothers are being cut out so they won't be able to feed their babies, where grown up men's eyes is being plucked out and their teeth removed to render them harmless, where humans are being nailed to a cross and head on a pike, how disastrous war can be, it is just too scary....

Today being a weekend, i wanted to wail away time by streaming some movies but i end up glued to the first one, the title is Tears of the sun it is a movie based on tribe war in an african country called Nigeria....

A Group of American soldiers were deployed to rescue some of their citizens a doctor, a priest and nun that are in the country where the war was ongoing, they got there successfully and it would have been a very easy mission for them if their citizens didn't make any scene trying to make them rescue the refugees..

On a second thought, the lieutenant in charge of the mission agreed with the doctor to save 70 refugees who can still move to go along with them but things change when the helicopters that was to take them arrived in the destined location, the doctor realized she was lied to by the lieutenant and it was only her they were going to rescue, the refugees were heartbroken too but nothing can be done...

On their way back, they realized the place where they rescued the doctor has been visited by the tyrant military force and everyone there was killed and the place burnt down, the doctor was more heartbroken and this touched the lieutenant which made him had a change of heart and ask the helicopter to turn around for a rescue mission of 70 refugees, this was a good thing to do but also the beginning of their problem......

I could not imagine the happiness filled up in the heart of those refugees when they see those soldiers coming back for them, That moment you see your last hope return to save you, the soldiers allow the helicopter to take the injured ones and children to safety and they would cross the mountain with the others to join them...

The journey was bloody as the tyrant trail and met up with them, shoot out at every corner of the forest, many lost their lives including some of the soldiers but at the end, attacking aircraft came to their rescue and wiped off the soldiers of the tyrant and their leaders and that was the end of the battle...

Lessons i learnt from this movie

  • Sometimes it is not about following orders but doing what is right because the soldiers disobey orders for the first time to rescue others in a difficult situation and even though some of them died, they did not regret their actions as many were saved...

  • One of the refugee made a statement to the lieutenant, i will never forget you, helping people can go a long way because they will be forever grateful to us. it is good to always come around for people because we may be their last hope at that moment of need..

  • Lastly if the good people ignore the bad done by the evil ones, the world can never get better and at the end, everyone will be affected, we must be ready to fight evil even if it is yet to affect us....

War is deadly I keep saying this because whenever I see movies that has to do with war it's always bloody.
The doctor and the lieutenant did the right thing in saving others
Helping people always go a long way.

We only know the beginning of a war, but no one knows how it will end that why we have to be careful with our dealings
