"Gifted": una historia que subraya lo excepcional en la vida (Reseña) [Es-En]

Saludos para todos los que integran esta comunidad de movies and tv shows. En esta oportunidad les traigo la reseña de una película llamada “Gifted” la cual espero pueda gustarles.

Greetings to all the members of this community of movies and tv shows. This time I bring you the review of a movie called "Gifted" which I hope You will like.

Definitivamente hay vidas que son dignas de ser enmarcadas en una película, así como hay películas que pueden llenar de mucho significado la vida de alguien más. “Gifted” (en español conocida con el nombre de “Un don excepcional"), lanzada desde la pantalla grande a mediados del año dos mil diecisiete nos trae una historia ficticia cargada de mucha enseñanza y reflexión para todos nosotros.

Chris Evans deja a un lado el disfraz y el escudo por un instante y ahora vestirse de superhéroe para su sobrina, quien quedó huérfana cuando tan solo era una pequeña a causa del suicidio de su madre. Desde el mismo primer minuto de esta película, Frank Adler (Chris Evans) y la pequeña Mary Adler (Mckenna Grace) desarrollarán una de las mejores tramas que se podría conocer dentro del género del drama.

There are definitely lives that are worthy of being framed in a movie, just as there are movies that can fill someone else's life with a lot of meaning. Gifted" (in Spanish known as "Un don excepcional"), released on the big screen in the middle of the year two thousand seventeen brings us a fictional story full of teaching and reflection for all of us.

Chris Evans leaves aside the costume and the shield for a moment and now dresses up as a superhero for his niece, who was orphaned when she was just a little girl because of her mother's suicide. From the very first minute of this movie, Frank Adler (Chris Evans) and little Mary Adler (Mckenna Grace) will develop one of the best plots that could be known within the drama genre.

Siempre la crianza de un niño es difícil y se necesita tiempo y mucha dedicación, la cual Frank está dispuesto a dársela a su sobrina, y aunque la relación pasa a ser muy estrecha, existirá algo con lo que Frank deberá lidiar, un regalo muy excepcional que hace de Mary una niña más especial de lo normal.

El escenario escolar abre sus puertas a Mary y con esto, se desencadena una serie de eventos que probarán las dotes de Frank como padre, y si realmente está preparado para cuidar de su pequeña sobrina. Roberta Taylor (Octavia Spencer) surge como esa vecina incondicional que está dispuesta a ayudar a Frank en lo que pueda a fin de no perder la custodia de la niña.

También se presenta con un rol importante la maestra de Mary, Bonnie (Jenny Slate) quien al conocer a Mary empieza a tomarle mucho cariño a la niña y más cuando descubre que, en términos intelectuales, esta niña tiene algo muy grande que la hace diferente a los demás niños.

Raising a child is always difficult and takes time and a lot of dedication, which Frank is willing to give to his niece, and although the relationship becomes very close, there will be something that Frank will have to deal with, a very exceptional gift that makes Mary a more special girl than usual.

The school scene opens its doors to Mary and with this, a series of events unfolds that will test Frank's gifts as a father, and if he is really prepared to take care of his little niece. Roberta Taylor (Octavia Spencer) emerges as that unconditional neighbor who is willing to help Frank in any way she can in order not to lose custody of the girl.

Mary's teacher, Bonnie (Jenny Slate), also plays an important role. When she gets to know Mary, she begins to get very fond of the girl and even more when she discovers that, in intellectual terms, this little girl has something very big that makes her different from other children.

Y la trama cobra más fuerza cuando Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan) la abuela de Mary, entra en escena a fin de reclamar aquello que su hija fallecida no pudo lograr pero que ahora con su nieta Mary desea alcanzar y por eso está dispuesta a todo con tal de arrebatarla de las manos de Frank.

A pesar de que la película gira en torno a un don innato en Mary, esta historia también nos permite ver rasgos en la vida de los adultos y sus reacciones ante situaciones bastante inusuales para la mayoría, como lo es el criar a una niña superdotada. Por un lado, encontraremos a un tío que asume el papel de padre para poder ofrecerle una vida normal a su sobrina mientras que por el otro nos encontramos a una abuela que quiere sacarle provecho a las extraordinarias capacidades intelectuales que posee la niña.

And the plot gets stronger when Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan), Mary's grandmother, enters the scene in order to reclaim what her deceased daughter could not achieve but now with her granddaughter Mary wants to achieve and that is why she is willing to do anything to snatch it out of Frank's hands.

Although the film revolves around Mary's innate gift, this story also allows us to see features in the lives of adults and their reactions to situations quite unusual for most, such as raising a gifted child. On the one hand, we find an uncle who assumes the role of father in order to offer a normal life to his niece, while on the other hand we find a grandmother who wants to take advantage of the extraordinary intellectual abilities that the girl possesses.

Se nota la armonía entre Frank y Mary y como Roberta se une a este rol familiar. En el caso de la maestra Bonnie, aunque su personaje me pareció un poco frio también tiene mucho que ver en el desarrollo de la trama, y Evelyn hace un papel que quizás no catalogaría como de villana sino como la de un familiar que dentro de su punto de vista mal enfocado desea lo mejor para su nieta.

El hilo argumental de la película es muy completa de principio a fin, donde cada escena se adhiere y complementa a la siguiente a medida que la historia va agarrando forma. No hay sobresalto ni escenas cargadas de violencia ni maltrato y el tono de las acciones va con un buen equilibrio que te deja ir entendiendo los puntos principales de la película.

The harmony between Frank and Mary is noticeable and how Roberta joins this family role. In the case of the teacher Bonnie, although I found her character a little cold, she also has a lot to do in the development of the plot, and Evelyn plays a role that perhaps I would not categorize as a villain but as that of a family member who, within her misguided point of view, wants the best for her granddaughter.

The film's storyline is very complete from start to finish, with each scene adhering to and complementing the next as the story takes shape. There are no jolts or scenes loaded with violence or abuse and the tone of the actions is well balanced, allowing you to understand the main points of the film.

“Gifted” es una película que nos deja muchísimas enseñanzas aplicables en la vida real. Probablemente una de las más claras que nos brinda es el hecho de como nosotros en el papel de sociedad, no estamos preparados para abordar estos casos en los que niños con excelentes cualidades que sobrepasan lo excepcional no parecen encajar en un mundo donde todos nosotros seguimos un camino constante que nos lleve a esa condición.

También una de las cosas que me deja como aprendizaje es la clase de persona que podemos ser para ellos y cuanto amor y apoyo estamos dispuestos a darles. Me gusta el enfoque que la película le da con la niña, ya que nos hace meditar en que si bien a veces hay personas que nacen con dones, al final son personas iguales que nosotros y que por lo tanto necesitan de esas cosas elementales que nos hacen ser parte de una sociedad.

"Gifted" is a movie that leaves us many lessons applicable in real life. Probably one of the clearest that it gives us is the fact that we, in the role of society, are not prepared to deal with these cases in which children with excellent qualities that surpass the exceptional do not seem to fit in a world where we all follow a constant path that leads us to that condition.

Also one of the things it leaves me learning is what kind of person we can be to them and how much love and support we are willing to give them. I like the approach that the film gives with the girl, as it makes us meditate on that although sometimes there are people who are born with gifts, in the end they are people just like us and therefore need those elementary things that make us part of a society.

En el caso de los adultos, a mi juicio la película también nos manda un mensaje muy claro y contundente ante aquellas personas que consideramos adelantados en aptitudes e intelecto, y es que todos podemos apoyarlos pero jamás asumir por ellos la vida que creemos sea la mejor para su existir. Aun siendo tan cercanos a ellos ya sea por rasgos de afinidad o crianza, no somos nosotros los que debemos decidir qué clase de vida deben llevar.

“No hagamos que para alguien con un don especial lo más difícil sea vivir una vida normal”

Esta es una frase que llegó a mi mente al meditar en todo lo que me transmite esta película y por la cual siento una admiración en cuanto a la trama planteada para esta historia. Son casi más de cien minutos de una película llena de amor, drama, carisma y profunda reflexión que se merece una destacable mención a pesar de no ser ni tener un título rimbombante, pero que de mi parte se ha ganado cinco estrellas por el tema y el mensaje que nos deja.

In the case of adults, in my opinion, the film also sends us a very clear and forceful message to those people that we consider advanced in aptitudes and intellect, and that is that we can all support them but never assume for them the life that we believe is the best for their existence. Even being so close to them either by affinity traits or upbringing, we are not the ones who should decide what kind of life they should lead.

"Let's not make it the hardest thing for someone with a special gift to live a normal life."

This is a phrase that came to my mind when meditating on everything that this film transmits to me and for which I feel an admiration in terms of the plot posed for this story. It is almost more than a hundred minutes of a film full of love, drama, charisma and deep reflection that deserves a remarkable mention despite not being or having a bombastic title, but from my side it has earned five stars for the theme and the message it leaves us.

Por eso, déjate sorprender con lo que “Gifted” tiene guardado para aquellos amantes de esas buenas historias que aun siendo ficticias, nos brindan una hermosa lección que puede convertir nuestras vidas en algo mucho mejor de lo que ya somos. Espero que después de lo leído puedan tener esa bonita disposición de querer conocer aún más de cerca esta historia y así poder disfrutar de esta magnífica película.

“A veces lo más excepcional en la vida es saberla vivir”.

So, let yourself be surprised with what "Gifted" has in store for those lovers of those good stories that even though they are fictional, they give us a beautiful lesson that can turn our lives into something much better than what we already are. I hope that after reading this you may have that nice disposition to want to know even more closely this story and thus be able to enjoy this magnificent movie.
