Los que vivimos de los sueños encontramos muy inspiradora ésta película, plagada de referencias al universo del subconsciente y otros hechizos oníricos que nos dan la oportunidad de vivir en complejos mundos de fantasía en la comodidad y bajo el cobijo de nuestra propia cama y almohadas.

El País de los sueños, película estrenada en Netflix en noviembre del año pasado, pero que recién vi ayer cuando decidí explorar la oferta infantil de la plataforma y me dejó gratamente sorprendida. No solo por la calidad de los efectos especiales, también la dirección de arte que ha creado divertidos mundos de ensueño, el diseño de vestuario y todo lo que compone este film, que es mucho más profundo de lo que parece a simple vista.

Destaca la protagonista absoluta Marlow Barkley, casi una niña que me recuerda por su soltura e interpretación y, por supuesto sus facciones a Saoirse Ronan, y con su actuación crea el balance perfecto ante un Jason Momoa que luce increíble en su papel de forajido. El carisma de ellos juntos hacen de ésta una gran película.

La diferencia entre los mundos (el real y el de los sueños) está fuertemente marcada por la paleta de colores, el mundo real aparece sombrío y sin mucha vida, en cambio en el País de los sueños la historia es otra, una gran imaginación y colores vibrantes se apoderan de toda la escena, algo que contradice un poco los preceptos de los psicólogos que afirman que soñamos en blanco y negro. De cualquier manera los sueños siempre son más divertidos, allí podemos perdernos en nuestros más profundos miedos, deseos, ambiciones, algunos hasta son premonitorios.

No puedo hablar de ésta película sin mencionar sus conceptos básicos, ya muchas películas nos han contado (más o menos) como funciona el subconsciente, pero en esta se exploran los lineamientos de grandes pensadores, exploradores del cerebro humano. Estos conceptos son tratados con mucho humor y sensibilidad. He llorado durante gran parte de esta película, lo siento, ando sensible últimamente.

Vemos como el Buró del Subconsciente Activado trabaja arduamente para asegurarse de que los sueños ( y los soñadores no traspasen las aguas profundas que separan la realidad y la cordura del delirio de sueños no cumplidos, ya que es muy peligroso adentrarse en las verdades disruptivas que puedan acabar con nuestra psique.

El País de los Sueños es una película sobre la pérdida que atraviesa una niña al morir su padre, y todas las aventuras que debe atravesar para encontrar sentido a una vida que considera vacía sin él. Entonces comienza a vivir una vida disociada de la realidad y la vemos vagar por los laberintos del subconsciente buscando algo que le devuelva la ilusión a su vida.

Así acompañamos a Nemo en busca de su sueño, la oportunidad de cerrar el ciclo con su padre, encontrándose con el para la despedida necesaria. En esta increíblemente profunda película vemos al personaje de su tío, quien es incapaz de soñar o de recordar sus sueños, por el miedo a la pérdida que también sufrió de pequeño, y justo cuando no lo crearíamos posible nos encontramos con la certeza que los sueños son más reales de lo que muchos pueden imaginar.

Aprendimos como hace falta ser valientes para superar ciertas emociones y sentimientos, afrontar el destino con la entereza necesaria para superar los golpes de la vida.

Those of us who live by dreams find this film very inspiring, full of references to the universe of the subconscious and other dreamlike spells that give us the opportunity to live in complex fantasy worlds in the comfort and under the shelter of our own bed and pillows.

The Land of Dreams, a film released on Netflix in November last year, but which I only saw yesterday when I decided to explore the platform's children's offer and left me pleasantly surprised. Not only for the quality of the special effects, also the art direction that has created fun dream worlds, the costume design and everything that makes up this film, which is much deeper than it seems at first glance.

The absolute protagonist Marlow Barkley stands out, almost a child who reminds me of Saoirse Ronan for her ease and interpretation and, of course, her features, and with her performance she creates the perfect balance with Jason Momoa who looks incredible in his role as an outlaw. Their charisma together make this a great movie.

The difference between the worlds (the real one and the one of dreams) is strongly marked by the color palette, the real world appears gloomy and without much life, on the other hand in the Land of Dreams the story is different, a great imagination and vibrant colors take over the whole scene, something that contradicts a little the precepts of psychologists who claim that we dream in black and white. Anyway, dreams are always more fun, there we can get lost in our deepest fears, desires, ambitions, some are even premonitory.

I can't talk about this film without mentioning its basic concepts, many films have already told us (more or less) how the subconscious works, but in this one the guidelines of great thinkers, explorers of the human brain, are explored. These concepts are treated with a lot of humor and sensitivity. I cried through much of this film, sorry, I've been sensitive lately.

We see how the Bureau of the Activated Subconscious works hard to make sure that dreams (and dreamers) do not cross the deep waters that separate reality and sanity from the delirium of unfulfilled dreams, as it is very dangerous to wade into the disruptive truths that can wipe out our psyche.

El País de los Sueños is a film about the loss a girl goes through when her father dies, and all the adventures she must go through to find meaning in a life she considers empty without him. She then begins to live a life dissociated from reality and we see her wandering through the labyrinths of the subconscious looking for something that will bring illusion back into her life.

Thus we accompany Nemo in search of his dream, the opportunity to close the cycle with his father, meeting him for the necessary farewell. In this incredibly profound film we see the character of his uncle, who is unable to dream or remember his dreams, because of the fear of loss he also suffered as a child, and just when we would not believe it possible we find ourselves with the certainty that dreams are more real than many can imagine.

We learned how it takes courage to overcome certain emotions and feelings, to face destiny with the necessary strength to overcome the blows of life.
