Brave has been one of the favorite movies, since she is a very different princess from the one we are always used to seeing. When I saw her for the first time, I identified a lot with her, since the outstanding characteristic of this character is that she is independent and rebellious. The second I saw her was with my daughter, in this part I saw myself as a mother of a beautiful girl, and where she now identifies me is the fostering of the bond with my daughter. And without further ado here I come to share my first review and teaching of the film.

Movie review

This animated film takes us on a journey that reaches a forest in medieval Scotland. Where there is a family, Mother Elinor and a beautiful girl about five years old who play hide-and-seek, where she enjoys a day at the Fields, that's when the father of the Fergus Family arrives, he comes from hunting. He puts the weapons on the table to which Elinor says that the weapons should not be placed on the tables, that you have to be careful with the girl, to which Fergus replies that she does not bother. But Mérida, who is a very naughty girl, takes her father's bow, Fergus tells his daughter that he has a surprise for her, he gives her his first bow and arrow, where he begins his first practices in that forest, but in one of those arrows She goes towards the trees, Mérida goes in search of the arrows, when she suddenly sees a blue light, and starts to chase her down a path, but she gets to hear that her mother calls her. She takes the arrow and returns to her mother.

When Mérida gets to where his father tells him about his strange event that he observed in the forest, his mother tells him that there is a story about those blue lights that guide people to their destination, but suddenly a big Bear comes to attack the girl and the mother, but the father crosses each other, a fight between the Bear and the girl's father starts.

In the next scene the family goes out in a castle, but Mérida is already a young woman, who has three brothers Harris, Hubert and Hamish, and her father lost a leg after the fight with the Bear.

But the bond between mother and daughter has changed and is no longer one where both had fun and shared. Since Mérida is the eldest daughter of a Kingdom, she had to learn manners where her mother instilled in her how a princess should behave, teach food how to speak among those present, how it should be before society and maintain a home, that learning to a teenager is feeling an ordeal. But those teachings should come closer as mother and daughter, they caused a distance between them, since Mérida is a rebellious young woman, independent that what she likes is freedom, the least she wants is to lead a life like her mother the queen.

The worst thing her queen's mother has done is plan her life, make some invitations to the firstborn of the Macintosh Clan, MacGuffin and Dingwall, since her parents have been united in battle and have protected themselves. At a dinner Elinor informs Mérida of the Tournament that they will be opening to ask for her hand, to which Mérida does not agree.

The day of the Tournament arrives, to which Mérida must choose which weapon they will use to win the hand of the princess, to which Mérida chooses Arco. The three first-born start their launch but their launch was in vain, suddenly a fourth competitor arrives that no one knew. That one takes off her cloak was Mérida, to which she expresses: “Because she was the Firstborn of the Fergus Clan, she could fight her hand. To which her mother is annoyed with her, she tells her not to shoot the arrow Mérida because she is contrary to her, she does.

Her angry mother takes her to her room, she starts a fight between that fight Mérida takes a knife threatens her mother with a blanket where Mérida and Elinor come out, to which Mérida cuts her out of rage, in that her mother cries , but the rage leaves Mérida locked up. But this young woman who is so cunning runs away, takes her horse and goes to the forest, where she meets again that little Light that directs her to a house that is deep in the forest, she meets a witch who gives her a potion that will make your mother change.

Merida returns to her house, she tells her mother that she made him a dessert, to which her mother eats it but from there she starts to feel bad. Merida takes her to her room, in that she sees a great transformation in her mother. Her mother turns into a Bear.

From that moment Mérida and Elinor began the search for the witch, but at that time they also had a time to share, to be very different from what she was.

Learning

In this film the first thing that reflects us is a bond between mother and daughter as it first breaks. As both have to go through a transformation to rejoin that bond that was once severed.

Animated movies always leave a learning:

Foster the Bond with our children

When we are father and mother, we live a new transformation in us, where there is a little person that we teach, love and respect, we must listen to ourother children and support them. Do not build a life and a future without them giving their opinion, because you must unite between father and children, what we do is move them away. When I saw this movie I saw my daughter Daniela in the future, it is her and I, where we will be together, I will support her and love her.

Communication

Here another very important one that we saw the film, was the lack of communication between Mérida and Elinor when the mother only imposed how her daughter should be without asking for her opinion, but after the mother turned bold, her communication changed and her mother arrived. to meet his real daughter.

Time for our children

In this new world full of work, lack of time, we as peers must put everything aside and dedicate to our children, because what they value most is the time you dedicate to them is not a toy or an outlet. If not, the time you dedicate to it. Here we observe how Mérida was different when she was with her father, because she listened to her, understood her, she dedicated time to her. While the time she spent with her mother was learning manners to become a queen.
