I've seen the saga of the Relentless Search many times, but when I saw the first part for the first time I was shocked. It seemed to me that it is a theme that is touching reality, since we all can go through this terrible situation, it is not something of fiction and that is what I really liked about this movie.

Millis' daughter Kim travels with her friend to Paris for a girls' trip, every teenage girl's dream. Bryan, a little suspicious, doesn't want them to travel alone, but Kim's mother insists that it's time for the girl to have an adventure. After giving her a lot of recommendations, Bryan takes her to the airport and there the girls meet some boys and accept their invitation to lunch when they arrive in Paris. This mistake will be greatly regretted by both girls, because after that they will be kidnapped by the mafia of women traffickers.

He visto la saga de busqueda implacable muchas veces, pero cuando vi la primera parte por primera vez quede impactada. Me pareció que es un tema que esta tocando la realidad, ya que todas podemos pasar por esta terrible situación, no es algo de ficción y es lo que realmente me gustó de esta película.

Kim, la hija de Millis, viaja con su amiga a París a un viaje de chicas, el sueño de toda adolescente. Bryan un poco desconfiado no quiere que viajen solas, pero la madre de Kim insuste en que es hora de que la chica tenga una aventura. Después de darle un montón de recomendaciones, Bryan la lleva al aeropuerto y allí las muchachas conocen unos chicos y aceptan su invitación a comer cuando lleguen a París. Este error lo lamentaran mucho ambas chicas, ya wue después de eso serán raptadas por la mafia de trsta de mujeres.

I felt a lot of helplessness at the moment when Kim realizes that her friend has been kidnapped and that they are coming for her and she tells her father what is happening. Bryan tells her that these men are going to take her but that he is going to go get her.
When he finally finds her, his daughter is drugged, dressed in a bulgarian outfit and being auctioned off to wealthy men. Imagine the helplessness of that father seeing his daughter like that is something you can feel in the film.

Sentí mucha impotencia en el momento donde Kim se da cuenta que raptaron a du amiga y que vienen por ella y le avisa a su padre lo que está pasando. Bryan le dice que se la van a llevar estos hombres pero que él va a ir a buscarla.
Cuando por fun la encuentra, su hija esta drogada, vestida de forma bulgar y siendo subastada entre hombres adinerados. Imaginar la impotencia de ese padre al ver a su hija así es algo que se puede sentir en la película.

The film is from 2008, written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen under the direction of Pierre Morel. It has a fabulous cast among which we can highlight Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace and the beautiful Famke Janssen. Some have criticized this film for the way the protagonist acts as he does not suffer a scratch in his fight against the bandits who took his daughter, but Bryan's character is an expert in defense and military tactics for his work in espionage in the CIA. And it's where I wonder if a wounded and upset father wouldn't use everything he knows to find and rescue his daughter?

As for rating the film, it has a good score. FilmAffinity gave it a 6.9/10 and audiences accepted it 96%. That's enough for me, so I recommend it and if you haven't seen it yet, prepare a nice snack and enjoy this weekend a movie where protecting your daughter, is the priority of that prominent father.

Algunos han criticado esta película por la forma de actuar del protagonista ya que no sufre ni un rasguño en su lucha contra los bandidos que se llevaron a su hija, pero el personaje de Bryan es un experto en defensa y en tácticas militares por su trabajo de espionaje en la CIA. Y es donde me pregunto si un padre herido y molesto no se valdría de todo lo que sabe por encontrar y rescatar a su hija?

En cuanto a la valoración de la película, tuene un buen puntaje. FilmAffinity le dio un 6,9/10 y el publico la aceptó en un 96%. Es suficiente para mí, así que la recomiendo y si no la viste todavía, prepara una rica merienda y disfruta este fin de semana de una película donde proteger a su hija, es la prioridad de ese padre prominente.
