Popcorn, Previews & Heartbeats: The Cinema Date Is Still King
Since I was around 12 years old, I have been a fan of watching movies in cinemas. I always find the big screen with a movie playing so fascinating.
One of our hobbies as partners is watching series or movies whenever we have enough free time. We sometimes do it at night time before going to sleep, or during a day off from work. We always find new and trending movies online, and start watching them.
There are a lot of sites and mobile applications where we can watch movies for free. But I firmly believe that watching in cinema is still the king. That is why when we had the chance, we grabbed it and enjoyed the moment. Here's how our cinema date went perfectly.
We travelled to the city to spend some time together since the 11th of June was our 2nd year anniversary. And one of our plans is to watch a movie. When we got to the area where you can buy the tickets, we had to line up with other customers. We already chose the movie we will be watching on the way. After a few minutes of waiting, we finally secured our tickets and seats.
We had to wait for an hour before the movie starts showing. We went straight to the corner and sat down for a while. I forgot to mention that we got 2 popcorns for free as our snacks, and we just need to claim it before the movie starts.
While waiting, we are also thinking of foods and drinks to buy. Since we already have some popcorns, we need to think of other snacks.
Fifteen minutes before the movie starts showing, we have decided to check out the stalls around that sells foods and drinks. And after a few minutes of walking around, we have finally came with a decision. We will grab some Cheesy Fries and fruit drinks.
Also, we showed our tickets to the snack bar area to claim our popcorns. The staff gave us two of them, then we went straight to the cinema 3.
We chose to seat in the higher and middle part. Since we are watching a thriller movie, I do not want to be closer to the screen because I am a screaming lady.
We just organized the snacks we have (Popcorns, Cheesy Fries, and drinks) on the food trays provided to us. These foods are already enough for the two of us. At exactly 4:00 in the afternoon, the movie started playing and the lights have been turned off. I got so excited!
During the 2 hours of movie showing, my partner and I focused on watching so we could understand the story and plot twists. Of course, I would never forget taking pictures of the two of us while inside the cinema. The photos below are taken just before the movie starts.
Overall, it was a memorable experience for us. And I know we both enjoyed the moment we had. Even with the accessible websites and applications where we could watch movies at home, cinema date will always be a top-tier bonding for me. And we will definitely do it again. Hopefully, a Marvel movie soon!
