Hey guys, hope you all are having a good time. Well, I wasn't until I got myself a new movie and decided to enjoy every moment and as always I'll be bringing another animation movie into your doorstep (you know how much I love animation movies).

Remember that toy that Andy used to like so much in Toy Story? Hey, if you havn't seen toy story I strongly advice that you do or do not because this story actually is a back-dated tale of Buzz and a spin off of the toy story, so you decide. I guess Buzz hadn't always been kidding when he kept telling other toys that he was a space ranger.

The spin off actually reveals that the Human Buzz Lightyear who's an astronaut was actually a movie seen by Andy and people of the Toy Story universe and they loved him so much that they decided to make a toy of him, well, that's pretty nice. It is a great twist to the toy story franchise and it surely was something fun.

I was even surprised to find out that the voice of Buzz was played by Chris Evans (Captain America) and even though it was controversial to change voices, I believe it was wise because the one in toy story actually belonged to a toy so it wouldn't have been exactly the same. They also introduced the voice of Keke Palmer as Izzy Hawthorne, a great addition for me, her voice actually lit up the movie, also did the voices of Peter Sohn, Taika Waititi, Dale Soules, James Brolin, Uzo Aduba.

Walt Disney and pixar didn't disappoint as the graphics was on point, I even ended up realizing that the spot on Buzz's chin wasn't always a spot or a rash, it's actually a dimple (well it looked like one). The movie was released on June 17, 2022 in the United States and was co-written and directed by Angus MacLane.

About

Some light-years away, Buzz and his group of space rangers were on a mission but along the way their space vessel notices a life form in a planet that seemed habitable. Buzz awakes first and immediately directs the vessel to the planet for a reconnaissance survey.

He leaves the vessel with so much vigour, he's surely a man who loves what he does. But he notices that there's something odd about this planet, with enough caution he checks out everything around him and gets scared to find out that he's not alone, there's someone following him. But he soon realizes that it's his captain and best friend Aisha Hawthorne and with her came a rookie and buzz hates rookies.

They soon discover that this planet wasn't exactly what they were expecting and they didn't get quite the welcome they were seeking. They get ambushed by hostile lifeforms which forces them to retreat in their space craft. But all didn't go as planned and Buzz damages the ship leaving them stranded in an inhabitable planet. What follows is years and years of trying to perfect the last key to repairing the space vessel and it a lot longer than expected and he gets a companion.

He comes back after a successful trial to find out that a villian had joined the party and he's non other than Zurg who's out to make life miserable for everyone.

Will buzz be able to defeat this mysterious Zurg and get everyone back home safely?, Well you'll just have to watch it to find out.

My take on the movie

I must say the animation is really on point, like it felt real, the way their mouths actually depicted what they were saying was great to see and I must say that they did a pretty good job about it. As for the cast, I think the voices of Aisha and Keke are delectable and they pretty much added life to the characters, as for buzz Chris evans didn't do bad himself, I think all of them just blended in really well.

As for the story, I wouldn't say it is the best of stories because they made me question some of the things we were told in toy story (like Zurg being Buzz's father) but then it was a beautiful story and I liked that they didn't just tell the story of Buzz alone, they added life into it infusing other people into it. It can actually act as a sort of motivation, don't you ever give up untill you finish your duty, no matter what it takes, and you don't always have to work alone, there's nothing wrong with trusting others to do the work for you.

The addition of Sox actually there to show the love between man and pet, they're always there no matter what. Humans can always fail you but your pet is always there to look out for you in the hardest of situations and that was depicted really good.

The movie shows a lot of love even though disney tried to force homosexualism in our faces, I still can't dispute the fact that it's a good movie. You should surely see this one if you're an animation lover and ps: watch till the post credit scene, there's something there, hehehe. I'll give this one a 7 out of ten for sure.

Thank you for reading this, if you enjoyed it or it connected to you in a way, I invite you to drop a comment, I'll be glad to reply and Upvote for more content ❤️

Well, first of all, your review made me think whether you're actually an inside promoter because you've just managed to advertise this shit so well that I finna watch it, is it on Netflix tho? cause I'm used to that movie environment.

This makes me think of the lion king when the lion guard series came into existence. It's all about milking more money from the industry viewers, I don't think these production companies care much about spoiling a good movie with a twisted new storyline.

Lol, I guess Walt Disney would have to pay me for this movie review then since I actually got people to check it out..I got it off of Netnaija so there's a possibility that it'll be on Netflix

Truthfully that's how it is...when they make a good movie and it exceeds their expectations, instead of making it die off, they start making other sequels that end up spoiling the story ...it's fucked up.

In terms of tastes about the Toy Story characters it was always more of Woody, the space setting has never appealed to me, but this one I might watch it for not letting.

What I want is that this same thing they did with the character of Buzz Lightyear they do with Woody, so we will know if he managed to jump the canyon.

Everyone loves woody over the ever cocky Buzz, but deep down we all knew Buzz was a good person and this movie actually proves that..it's ok not to feel appealed to the space setting, but I sure would want you to watch it, you'll still enjoy it.

I think that's a great idea! If there was a way we can get this suggestion over to Walt Disney that'll be great and it'll surely sell a lot more than this One...I agree 100%

Of the reviews I've seen of this movie, this is one of the few that mention that this movie is good, I want to see it, but I'm in doubt because many people mention it as very bad, but that depends on the tastes of the people of that if I'm sure, I'll try to see it as soon as possible, thanks for your review, greetings.

Well it depends on what they were looking out for. . I honestly enjoyed the movie, it was fun, funny and touching..the whole animation graphics was way better than toy story..I guess it didn't just do it for them but I'm glad you got to comment...Thank you ❤️

I always thought the guy was always in over is head.😂😂 Turns out it was an actual story.

I was super glad to see a movie about Buzz. He was kind of a major character in the Toy Story series. He was my favourite character in fact.

I think the movie was more apealling because of the familiar voices. I just learned about the voice actors in this post, but it makes sense why I liked Izzy; it was Keke Palmer all along.

I do have some issues with the story being a little over-stretched, but it was all worth it in the end I guess. I loved the point they were driving at.

In a way, I do not even agree with the twist with Zurg. They defied fundamental laws that had been established and been followed. I am not against going out of the norm, but at least give a logical reason to support it. I am a time travel nerd, maybe that's why I am speaking from this angle.

And for the homosexuality they just blantantly threw at our faces, I really do not know. I mean, the movie was intended for kids, definitely. So throwing a controversal topic like that could cause some confusion for kids. Imagine my neice asking me why there are two moms and no dad. Just do the normal, and let the kids grow up to decide for themselves.

Welldone man!

😂😂 Exactly what I thought...

Yeahh it's pretty great to see that they created a movie for Buzz, he'd always been a phenomenal part of Toy story and that voice you liked so much lol surely belonged to Keke, I was also glad to find out it was her.

About the story being overstretched, I agree with that, I just wanted to know where they were actually going with it...but it was worth it at the end.

Exactly this twist wasn't necessary at all, because I still didn't see any logical explanation worthy for why there were two Buzzes in one space, the whole time travel story just didn't add up well, I'm not an expert..but it didn't do it for me.

Doesn't make sense at all, the movie was going great until they added that scene and it's been killin the movie ever since..they made a great movie and used their own hands to spoil it..

Tahnks for your insightful comment bro ❤️

I was also glad to find out it was her.

I have loved her since 'Akeelah and the Bee,' and 'True Jackson.'

I'm not an expert..but it didn't do it for me.

You get it!

they made a great movie and used their own hands to spoil it..

Basically shot themselves in the legs. They do that a lot in movies now; trying to appease all the gods. We get that, but not everything can fit it. Disney is not Netflx.

Aa a huge fan of toy story I knew I had to see this film and it fulfilled my expectations. It was awesome to know about the real story behind Buzz and that surprise about Zurg was something I didn't see coming. A good film without doubt and one of the best animated productions of the year.

I surely enjoyed it too and Zurg too was something that took me by surprise, the story still doesn't add up in my head, hehe...but then...we just got to enjoy good movies..tahnks for your comment ❤️
