I remember watching this one as a kid in the 80's and it was so cool! There were a few movies in the series.. this one picks up where they left off.. sorta.. i wouldn't call it a sequel.. more like another story within that same universe.

There's a lot to like about this one. One thing that was so refreshing to see was the use of all practical effects and makeup vs. CGI..

Deathstalker's little buddy reminded me of Yogurt from Spaceballs. :P and Dealthstalker himself was played by Daniel Bernhardt, who I know from Mortal Kombat: Conquest, the TV series..

This movie came out just last month and was a total surprise to me.. I never even heard of it until I saw it. You can just tell some movie geek like me grew up loving this series and just had to make a new, modern installment.
