Hello and welcome to the 46TH edition of Cine TV Community Spotlight. The Cine TV Spotlight Series has begun in a bid to boost engagement and interaction in the community and showcase the work of deserving authors.

And it’s all simple. Every week, we spotlight works by authors based on the content, originality, style, and word count. It is not a contest, but just our way of creating exposure for the works we enjoyed throughout the week and boosting exceptionally written content by our authors. Simply put, give it your best and have fun while at it, and then we showcase your work here.

So, in no particular order, here are the authors spotlighted for this week:

Title: Game of Thrones is a Masterpiece

game.jpg

One of the primary theme of this show is the struggle for power. Literally every character with a big role to play desires to either sit on the iron throne or just straight up possess a massive chunk at both political power and military strength. This lust for control becomes the control cursor controlling the affairs of the film causing wars, unlikely alliances, betrayal and death. Very few characters seek power for the right reasons and Jon Snow the exception wants nothing to do with it even though he is actually the real heir to everything.

Title: How to Train Your Dragon

n my opinion, this is one of the film's strengths. It allows Toothless and the rest of the dragons to retain their original appearance with a more realistic design. They are also able to convey their organic side with facial expressions, at least on Toothless's part, since, as a dragon, he has no dialogue. You can enjoy exquisite textures with natural movements that feel very believable, making each dragon a great visual contribution. As for Berk, it boasts great realism, transporting each viewer to a Viking village, as if they were in Iceland...

Title: Trolling the Conspiracy Theorists

troll.jpeg

Extrapolating this intimate truth to society, the film delivers a fistless punch to conspiracy theorists everywhere—Russians or otherwise—by inviting us to laugh at "evidence" and "proof" that maligned actors deemed (or still deem) fake.
This humility and confidence stem from the old adage: "Words move, but actions drag." I’ll say it plainly: The world celebrated the real moon landing. Supporting anecdote? Buzz Aldrin (the second man on the moon) has a cameo. During filming, he improvised a comment about lunar gravity based on his actual experience, leaving the cast in awe. The director kept it in.

Title: Uncanny Counter S2 - A Fine Finish

counter.jpg

This series would definitely not have been as good as it is, if not for the actors. Like these actors did in the first season, they all devoured their roles. From the counters to the evil spirits, they all did a good job with bringing this creative masterpiece to fruition. I particularly loved the transitioning of the counters. The little tweaks in appearance gave the illusion that much time had passed between both seasons. Made me fall more than I already did, for some characters. This series left me looking forward to it's end and at the same time not wanting it to end.

Title: Under Siege

siege.jpeg

The movie is interesting because it exposed the secret happening in some music industry. There are dirty sacrifices under some fame. And whatever the devil gives cannot last; if he takes someone up, his aim is to take them down. Success takes patience; it doesn't happen in a day. Every riches and fame are not from God, so we should be careful not to fall into wrong hands. Kolade's father rejected his son when he need him most and should have welcomed him and advised him in love, shows that discipline doesn't change some children, but talking with them in love does.

Title: Outlander || A Historical Epic Love Story

out.jpeg

There are brutal rape scenes close to the end of season one. I found it so troubling to watch, I had to skip that part, but aside from that, this story will make you laugh 😂, blush, feel emotional, and sometimes be so intense that it will make you cry. Yeah, I cried at some point watching this series. It is that great and powerful. Also, it's very addictive; the moment you start, you might get hooked until you finish, but it will all be worth it. The series started in August 2014 and has seven seasons so far, with fans expecting the eighth season. I was lucky to find and start watching at the seventh season.

Title: The Old Guard 2

art.jpeg

I saw an interview couple of days back where the producer was crying about the movie as it bombed and blamed it on the film maker for not doing a good job, while the direct blamed it on the team, stating that they would have put efforts while making if the amount that was offered was worthy of it and how the actor charging a big sum of money has left the movie with low to no budget. That begs the question: Is money holding art as hostage? Because sometimes it does feel like that. If that's the case, how come some of the big-money projects are still bombing?

Title: Before Sunrise, at Thirty-Three: What Took Me So Long?

chriss.webp

Can’t lie, it stung. The kind of sting that doesn’t shout. It just sits there, behind your eyes, while you pretend you’re just watching a movie. But you’re not. You’re remembering every almost. Every person you never stopped for. Every version of yourself you tucked away to be efficient, dependable, respected. And it’s not that you regret growing up, exactly. It’s just that you forgot how much you used to hope. This film isn’t flashy or loud. It just holds your hand for a little while and says, hey, you used to want more than this.

And there you have it! Congratulations to all those spotlighted this week. We look forward to more exceptional content. And to everyone posting in the community, we look forward to seeing more of you around.
