CineTV Community Newspaper #02

More Delegation!
Along with CINE curation, we know how important hive curation is. A couple of weeks ago our leader @raymondspeaks secured 50K HP to the @cinetv account, and this week he secured another 50K HP! Extremely good news for the community indeed! This will immensely help us with the curation effort along with our own CINE token curation.
But this is not going to stop here. We'll accumulate more and more to give back to the film-loving community. And of course, if you want to support our project, please feel free to delegate.
Cine Contest is Back
After a long break, we're resuming our contest segment and this will be a regular thing. A new contest is currently running that focuses on movies that rocked you as a child and you can check it here.
The purpose of these contests is to increase engagement within the community. Hold discussions on films, movies, anime, and all sorts of motion pictures. Contests are a great way not only to express your fervent enthusiasm about cinema but also to voice opinions and disagreements. We'll work on topics in a way that they encompass a large array of related themes and discourses. It's not going to be only about movie reviews.
Crushing Twitter
Since the rebirth of CineTV, we have been extremely active on Twitter. @thisismylife is working diligently to make cine noticeable in the vast ocean of Twitter. And it is surely showing!
We went from 4k impressions and a 1.9% engagement rate for all of December to 5.3k impressions and a 8.1% engagement rate within just the last 7 days!
Total 16.2k impressions and a 6.9% engagement rate over the last 28 days!
Our followers also increased. We went from 888 followers at the beginning of January to 932 currently.
It's safe to assume that it will continue to increase. Not only among crypto people but also people who care about movies in general. Many non-crypto Twitter users will be exposed to CINE, and as a result HIVE blockchain and crypto—bringing more traction.
Have you followed us on Twitter? Done already? Thanks! If not, follow here.
Let's pay respect to some of the mentionable posts from this week that was posted in CineTV. We want to recognize exceptional pieces from now on and let the authors know their efforts are not futile. This is also a fine way to get some more traction in their posts.
In this post @nbarrios67 writes about action movies and their types. Kudos to him for giving us exmaples of each type he mentions.
@papacrusher, is not only quite competent as a project manager, but he is also clearly very passionate about films and knows a thing or two. In this piece, he writes about movie soundtracks and why they matter.
@evaredskin is new to hive but she clearly brings a lot of film knowledge with her. Hive is lucky to have users like her and in this post, she writes about a classical film from Elia Kazan. A great movie everyone should watch.
It was a good week in the history of cinema. Let's go down memory lane, shall we?
More than 100 years ago, United Artists founders, Griffith, Pickford, Chaplin, and Fairbanks signed their contract for the cameras in 1919. It was a significant union as the agenda was to focus on the actors and individuals without heavily relying on the commercial studios.
Some of his notable films are —
- The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928)
- Vampyr (1932)
- Ordet (1955)
His use of light and shadow in his films is brilliant and can be a case study for any aspiring filmmakers to veteran ones.

François Truffaut, born on February 6, 1932 is another master filmmaker that honored this week. One of the founders of the French New Wave film movement, a former critic of the legendary film magazine Cahiers Du Cinema, a student of film theorist Andre Bazin, a giant of world cinema, a french film icon, and a fervent cinephile—Truffait is one of the names you keep bumping into if you're a film enthusiast. As you can guess from the barrage of titles we wrote there, he is an enormous figure.
In his extensive carrier, he made numerous films, some we can suggest here—
- The 400 Blows (1959)
- Jules et Jim (1962)
- Day for Night (1973)
- The Last Metro (1980)
This is it for this week.
WE WILL RETURN.

Loving the looks of this newspaper! Great dividers and header image.
Things are indeed going great on Twitter, and it's very cool to work on the content and see these results every day.
Let's keep building together, you sure did an excellent job with this newspaper! Will share it on Twitter later!
I do believe Twitter is very important for any outreach of hive ecosystem, as are other social media. We cannot grow without them.

50k HP is a nice amount to boost curation. That's a meal in most parts of the world. And the new classic style of the cover image is really fitting. !1UP
Planning to bring some variations to it each week as well. Let's see how that turns out. Cheers mate!

Hello, I would like as far as possible that you answer the comments I made on my post. I don't understand why I was muted from the community. I am one of the most active people, I have a serious job and it seems unfair to me. I have invested time and money in this community, I deserve respect and consideration.

If you read my comments, I was very clear why you were muted.
So good to find out about this community.
Great to hear things are going so well with the community, they're some great delegations. Also good to hear about the twitter being on the rise, I should really make myself a twitter account.
