Dear CineTV Community,

Hey there, CineTV community! It's that time again where we don't have any earth-shattering news to share with you, but fear not! There's still plenty of exciting things happening in our little corner of the internet. As always, the CineTV community is a treasure trove of creativity, passion, and discovery.

So, while we don't have any breaking news to share with you today, we encourage you to keep exploring and discovering all that this amazing community has to offer. Who knows, maybe you'll stumble upon the next big thing in cinema, or connect with a fellow movie lover who shares your obscure taste in foreign films.

At the end of the day, that's what makes the CineTV community so special - the endless possibilities for connection and discovery. So keep on creating, sharing, and exploring, folks. We can't wait to see what amazing things you'll come up with next.

In this issue, you'll find information about our latest contest, as well as updates on our popular CineKids and Writing Prompts sections. You can also check out Frey's Findings for the latest industry news and gossip. And don't miss The Movie Star of the Week feature, where we shine a spotlight on a different actor or actress each issue. Plus, we've got previews of upcoming movies and some juicy celebrity gossip. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the latest edition of the CineTV Community Newspaper!

So let's all gather around, because we've got a contest for you that'll maybe literally blow you away! Get ready to talk about your favorite movie that centers around bad weather. And of course, we're not just looking for a boring plot summary, folks. We want creativity, we want humor, we want drama. We want you to make us feel like we're right in the middle of that torrential downpour, hurricane, or tornado.

So, let's get those creative juices flowing, shall we? Do you have a favorite movie where the weather is practically a character in its own right? Maybe it's the classic disaster flick "Twister", where tornado chasers risk life and limb to get up close and personal with some of the deadliest storms on earth. Or maybe it's "The Perfect Storm", where a group of fishermen battle against mother nature's wrath to bring home the catch of a lifetime.

But we're not just looking for the obvious choices, folks. Get creative! Maybe your favorite movie is the obscure indie film "Rain Man", where a man with a bizarre rain fetish falls in love with a meteorologist who's studying the effects of acid rain. Or perhaps it's the horror comedy "Snowpocalypse Now", where a group of friends get trapped in a cabin during a blizzard - only to find out that the snow outside is actually a sentient being with a taste for human flesh!

So, get those thinking caps on, folks, because the competition is fierce. And remember, we're not just looking for a retelling of the plot - we want you to bring these movies to life in a way that'll make us laugh, cry, or fear for our lives. The stakes are high, the weather is wild, and the competition is heating up!

The submission deadline is 28th February, 2023, 11:59 PM, UTC time.

Looking for a nostalgic blast from the past? Look no further than "Cine Kids: A Trip Down Memory Lane with this week in the spotlight nothing else than the DuckTales"! Get ready to dive into a quack-tastic world of adventure, treasure, and of course, some seriously wacky ducks. So grab your popcorn, settle in, and get ready to relive those childhood memories with the beloved DuckTales gang. Just don't forget to watch out for any pesky Beagle Boys!

If you're ready for a little break now, grab a cup of coffee and go into the relax mode. Enjoy even more of that juicy Hollywood gossip.

  • Rumors are swirling amongst fans of Sister Wives that Meri Brown has finally moved on from her polygamous marriage with a woman, sparking speculation about a same-sex spin-off with the other wives. While nothing has been confirmed by Meri herself, fans can't help but wonder if her new love interest is actually Kody's second wife Janelle, making the whole situation even more incestuous. But who knows, Meri might just be focusing on her LulaRoe business or dating men, leaving fans eagerly waiting to see what drama unfolds on the next season of the show.

  • Then we have Katie Price who is on a mission. A mission that, in my opinion, should never be supported by the medical world, and yet it seems that money is again a decisive factor here, and health is subordinated to it. The photos in the article speak for themselves. It's just what she thinks will make her happy... Boobs or health?

  • Paris Hilton recently revealed in an interview that she had an abortion in her early twenties. The socialite and reality TV star said the decision wasn't an easy one, but it was the right choice for her at the time. Hilton also took the opportunity to dispel some common misconceptions about abortion by stating that it is a personal choice and that women should not be judged for it. Who would have thought, the party-going Paris who was known for her Chihuahua lifestyle has really come of age after her marriage and recent motherhood.

I am very curious about your personal opinions about the actors and actresses that we see so often on the big screen (well, mostly TV screen).

As you know by now, it is important not to write film reviews. That's NOT what this challenge is about. It is precisely about your personal stories, why you like or do not like to watch that actor or actress. Why are you or are you not attracted to that actor or actress? And so there are many more things to think of that tell something personal.

This week we had many comments. Jim Carrey, no matter if you like him or not, he provoked at least some good engagement on our CineTV Community Newspaper. So thank you all for that!

So who is going to win some juicy CINE this week? Like I said, there were many comments, and since this is not a contest, but a challenge everybody wins! We had 200 CINE and 200 Ecency Points to give away. Our own team members are excluded from the prices, sorry @papacrusher and @stickupboys. I really love your comments though!

And that means I can tell you that @saffisara, @enginewitty and @nbarrios67 all get 66.66 CINE and 66.66 Ecency Points sent to wallets. Congratulations, and thank you all for the comments. It's always nice to get to know your personal preferences a little better.

For next week this sets our balance to 100 CINE and 100 Ecency Points to give away!

Of coure, thanks to @ecency for generously sponsoring this fun challenge!

Are you all ready for the new challenge this week?

It's time for another Movie Star of the Week! Our Movie Star of the Week has had a remarkable career in Hollywood spanning over three decades. She has starred in a variety of film genres, showcasing her versatility as an actress. From her dramatic performances in "Erin Brockovich" and "August: Osage County" to her comedic roles in "My Best Friend's Wedding" and "Runaway Bride," she has proved time and time again that she can do it all. The first movie I watched from her had the most fitting name of all, "Pretty Woman"!

But it's not just her acting skills that have earned her a special place in the hearts of many, including me. Our Movie Star of the Week is also known for her smile! And of course we can not look past her philanthropic efforts, using her fame and fortune to give back to those in need. She has been a longtime supporter of UNICEF, serving as a Goodwill Ambassador since 1995. She also founded a charity organization, which supports various health initiatives for children in need.

Despite her success and fame, Our Movie Star of the Week has always maintained a down-to-earth persona, often using her platform to raise awareness for important causes and promoting positive change in the world. To me, she is a true inspiration and a shining example of what it means to be a Hollywood icon.

So now it's time for you! Give me your thoughts and feelings about our Movie Star of the Week!

We keep watching for all the films that come out this year, after all, that is what the CINETV community is for. I will try to show as many different genres as possible. Hopefully there's something to your taste and you'll find a new movie for your "To Watch" list. Get ready for some trailers below!

COCAINE BEAR

This dark comedy is inspired by a true story set in 1985. The plot revolves around missing cocaine and a 500lb black bear who has just consumed this missing cocaine. The animal's cocaine-induced rage sparks a frenzy of violence and chaos, with everyone frantically trying to escape or score more drugs. It's an action-packed adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

JESUS REVOLUTION

Jesus Revolution is a captivating tale that follows the journey of a young man named Greg Laurie (played by Joel Courtney) who, in the 1970s, seeks belonging and freedom. Along with countless other young people, Laurie heads to Southern California with the intention of breaking free from the norms of society. Through a series of chance encounters with the likes of Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie) and Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer), Laurie finds himself swept up in a powerful spiritual movement that changes the course of American history. This inspiring story of love, faith, and rock and roll is not to be missed!

IMORDECAI

Mordecai (played by Judd Hirsch) has spent his life fixing things, but as he ages, he finds there are some things he can't fix, like his wife's Alzheimer's and his strained relationship with his son. When his son surprises him with a new iPhone, Mordecai's world is changed in unexpected ways. Through newfound friendships, Mordecai learns to embrace change and open himself up to new experiences. This heartwarming journey takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions and shows that inspiration can come at any age, and it's never too late to heal and find beauty in the pain of the past.

Wow... You sure knows the Hollywood gems 😉 I mean jim Carrey and now my favorite actress Julia Roberts.
Have you been sneak peeked on my movie list? 😂 Hahahaha... JK.. Mabye
I am torned if I make a post or comment. It is many of Her movies that I have most memories attached to.

First time I saw Pretty Woman I was all... 😍 Richard gere.. Wow!
And I am a sucker for a good romantic movie so that is a perfect one. That was the first movie I saw with her and I think it is the one everyone seen at some point.
I saw that one with my aunt who is like a second mom and as she is no longer here that movie still makes me feel like she is there watching with me.

I loved her movie Erin Brockevich and there we see a more serious side of Her and also a true story.
It is moving and sad but also lots of Love and Hope. She does a Great job and are so natural and strong.
I saw that movie with my cousins at our common summer house and I still remember we had taco that day 😁 lol
Crazy right?

My rank second favorite movie is Notting hill (where she and Hugh Grant are such a perfect fit in cast for that movie) they both Great and it is also funny at times.
A beautiful love story between a celeb and a normal guy.

My first choice tho have to be the one I saw with my other aunt and cousin at the cinema in Stockholm and I laughed so Hard as she is hilarious in it.
My BEST Friends Wedding!
That is the movie I seen like 10 times 😁 Lol
It has everything, it is a love story and have lots of humor, sad moments, amazing friendship and even if it breaks her heart she does the right thing. I am a sucker for happy endings so first I was like noooo... Pick Julia Roberts... Not Cameron Diaz 😜 lol
But the ending is actually perfect as it is and her amazing friend is there for her every step of the way. It also have some great music in it.
Her expression and talent is endless. And I mean... Who can resist that beautiful big smile of hers? I can't 😁 LMAO

There are other movies to and that episode in Friends when she screwed with Chandler (revenge from stuff that happened in school when they were kids) it cracked me up.

Awsome choice of Actress of the week and I am sorry if I got overboard with my comment 🙏😜 lol
I just love this thing you guys have started here and I admit...
I am a movie lover... Freak 😜

Have a wonderful sunday.
Cheers ❤️

Great job! and you know don't comment for the prizes....just like to engage!

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of JR at all....lololol...I know that is not a popular opinion but I just don't get it. I don't find her attractive and I feel she is mediocre at best when it comes to her craft. Sorry lololol Maybe others will espouse her redeeming qualities in the comments!

avatar

The engage part is the best and fun part 😉 and you always do that well ❤️ hugs

avatar

How dare you! lol

No, I agree she's not the best actress but I find some of her movies good as she has a good acting partner to support her role. But defo not on the list of best actresses and certainly not on the good looking list :)

avatar

lolol i expected to get some hat for this lololol jk

avatar

Well, I mostly agree :) haha

avatar

lolol you and i usually do on most things......we may be secret brother and sister separated at birth!!!!!!

avatar

Lol, I have watched pretty woman, and few more of her movies, Money Maker I think was one ... but there are for sure better actresses out there. And thank God that every human being has its own preferences when it comes to finding someone attractive or not. I'm actually happy that you write this comment, as it is really your personal feeling, which will make me think to reward you the 100 cine this week. Lol!

What attracts me to Julia Roberts is her legs, I don't consider her a pretty woman. She has had many problems with directors and artists on film sets because of her diva attitude, she has been known to have romantic relationships with Kieferd Sutherland, Jason Patric, Liam Neeson, Dylan McDermott or Matthew Perry. Hook, Valentine's Day, The Mexican, Runaway Bride, Mirror Mirror and I love trouble for me are movies in which her acting was terrible. I did like her in: Erin Brockovich, (her best role to date), Steel Magnolias, The Pelican Report, Ocean's Eleven, My Best Friend's Wedding and The Normal Heart.

Pretty Woman is a nice movie but I liked more the fantastic Ghost, both released in 1990.when watching this movie I am only able to retain in my mind the legs of Julia Roberts, I know it is a nice story of redemption, but I did not get to convince me.

She is not a bad actress, but I feel that she has made some bad choices when it comes to some film projects.

Have you noticed her incredible physical resemblance to actress Kyra Sedgwick and I think they already worked together as sisters in a movie.

P.S: thanks for the CINE and Ecency Points. Greetings, and great job with the newspaper!!!!.

Oh my god, Katie Price has lost her mind, what a shame as I remember her being quite a good looking woman years ago. This is gone too far, can't be healthy either..

Good to read about Paris "growing up" I didn't even know she now had a steady boyfriend/husband or child. Sad to read she felt that she had to be ashamed about her abortion and going through IVF later.

going to check the trailers later, thanks :)
