Image created with CANVA PRO

Welcome to this week's new CineTV Community Newspaper. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend? Now let's sit back and relax a bit with our weekly newspaper!

CINE COMMUNITY UPDATE

We are very proud to announce our collaboration with dCity.io

This collaboration offers three advantages for the CINE holder. And of course you will understand that I will not describe these options in detail here. That would be too easy. The benefits are not easy to explain in a few sentences. But they are very clearly described for you in this blog.

If you haven't read this yet, DO IT NOW! And be prepared to be given a new daily task.

Then on with our writing prompts on Twitter. All you get is a "Keyword".

It's up to you to swing a phenomenal blog online. Which movie(s), or movie memories do you think of when you hear the keywords. Every day you see a new prompt on Twitter. The last is:

BookToScreenAdaption

If you'd like to find the other writing prompts to see if there's anything you're interested in, I'd like to refer you to our Twitter account .

Let's move on to our Contest!

CINE CONTEST UPDATE

Have you ever known those moments when you had anxiously looked forward to watching a certain film, and then this film disappointed you so much that you regretted watching it? Or a film that hurt your eyes, so to speak? You already get it! This week we're looking for your favorite medical drama

Isn't that nice once. This theme takes me back to a Dutch series from my youth called "Medisch Centrum West". I loved it and have good memories as well as bad memories of watching this series. The entanglements in the series were incredibly dramatized and romanticized to say the least. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can think of something to fit this theme. So make sure to write your entry to this contest. The submission deadline is 30th August, 2022, 11:59 PM, UTC time.

As you know by now, We love to read your personal stories, not only blogs written for the contest. Why is that one movie or series so special to you? What impact has it had on you? Did a movie or series change your mind about certain things? Just to name a few examples.

Now that we said that, let's move on!

The first week of our new item "Movie STAR of the Week" is over. And to be exact, we only had 2 comments that really responded with their thoughts on OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN. These two comments were also team members and as everyone knows we are not eligible to win contests. So unfortunately we don't have a winner this first week. Come on people! You can do better!

For our second week, of course, we have another "Movie STAR of the week".

This week it's about an actor who has more than earned his spurs in his long track record. It is not easy to make a selection of the films in which this actor has starred. There are simply TOO MANY! But we can say that the greatest success of this actor has come by playing in the Star Wars Saga and by the lead role in the Indiana Jones series. And as we all know, this is still just a tiny part of his impressive acting career.

Which might lead to some nice news, because did you already know that a 5th part of the successful Indiana Jones series is planned for release next year! And yes, here too Harrison Ford will play the role of "Indy".

Less is known about the private life of this actor because he is one of Hollywood's actors who is very private. But what people do know is that he was married no less than 3 times. His last marriage to actress Callista Flockheart lasts to this day.

So come on and let me know what you think of when you hear the name:

HARRISON FORD.

Now it's up to you! Leave a comment with your own thoughts, opinions, ideas of Harrison Ford, for a chance to win some extra juicy CINE tokens. Because we didn't give away 100 CINE for our first "Movie STAR of the Week", we'll up the prize for the best comment to 200 CINE for this week. If you're feeling very inspired... write a blog for maybe a bonus.

If you're going to dedicate a blog towards our "Movie STAR of the week", don't forget to use the tag #moviestaroftheweek and link your blog here in a comments so we can easily find it!

As always, feel free to browse over all blogs written under the #cinetv tag. There are so many awesome blogs. We appreciate each and everone of you, who takes the effort to write up a unique, original blog with movie or tv-related content.

BREAKING

For fans of movies based on true stories, this is a must see movie!

The story is about a marine veteran who takes a bank with its employees hostage. You can imagine that this will lead to some pretty hair-raising moments.

THE INVITATION

After seeing this movie you will never think the same again when you get an invitation to go to a wedding.

LOVE IN THE VILLA | NETFLIX

In this Netflix film we travel to romantic Italy! I think the story can be predicted a bit ... but can be a nice counterpoint that you don't have to think too much about after you've seen the thriller and horror of the previous two films. In this movie you can enjoy some romance that will make you relax.

MOVIE & CELEBRITY GOSSIPS

One of my favorite parts of the weekly newspaper. The juicy gossip! I can't help it, I think it's one of the "guilty pleasures", which I will never admit after today. Because like everyone else, I always pretend that I'm not interested in that at all.

  • Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin have shocked Hollywood with the news that their 25-year marriage is coming to an end.

The first writing on the wall was the fact that Sly had a tattoo of Jen turned into his late Rottweiler. When that happened, his manager denied that there was anything more going on. However, it soon became apparent that this denial was only a pretense!

The divorce papers were filed by Jennifer, and recently she also accused Sly of withholding joint assets. It looks like Hollywood and the media may be gearing up for another divorce with luscious details.

In any case, the first "researchers" have already started fishing up some dirty details!

  • Still, not everything in Hollywood is riddled with dirty details. It's also nice to see that two stars can keep a normal relationship. And that after a few years together, they are still in love. And that they are not afraid to show their love for each other.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom prove it again during their vacation in always romantic Italy

The two are still madly in love with each other, and don't forget to let each other know that too. Of course not everyone has the luxury of a yacht, but that is just a detail. It's about these two stars kissing to show their love for each other.

  • Penelope Cruz once again proves that Hollywood stars are people and have feelings. Well, her emotions may have taken on a bit of an odd shape... but nevertheless it shows very clearly how proud and happy she was when her husband was nominated for an Oscar, and when she turned out to be nominated herself, it was just too much for her. .

Penelope threw herself on the floor, started screaming and ended with tears of laughter.

Let's face it, it's great to know that this Hollywood Star also shows human emotions!

  • It is well known that I am a dog lover. So it should come as no surprise that I am absolutely AGAINST all labs that do tests on dogs. Beagles are often used for this. Shame! They are very nice dogs.

Now I have to admit that Harry and Meghan have risen somewhat in my estimation this week.

Testing on Beagles has been banned in the UK, and to support this ban Harry and Meghan adopted a 7-year-old Beagle this week. The happy Beagle has been affectionately named Mamma Mia by the couple, and she can now spend her days with the two dogs the couple already had.

Personally I don't like Royals that much, but canine friends are my friends.

Hopefully you enjoyed this weeks Newspaper!

Enjoy your week

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND WE WILL RETURN!

I can't begin to describe how excited we are about our most recent collaboration with dcity! We love working with communities within Hive and we are always looking for new partners to raise awareness of all we are doing!

Now, I loved Harrison Ford in a multitude of roles, but one of my favorites is in Regarding Henry. How often do any of us get a chance to be a truly new, better version of ourselves?

Excellent job on the paper, @hetty-rowan !

Thanks papa! Your support is very much appreciated.

And yes, Harrison is a great actor in a multitude of roles. There are simply too many good movies in which he played a big part. The movie you mention, "Regarding Henry" is one I haven't seen. But after googling this movie, it does sound like a movie I should see.

avatar

I hope some more people join the convo about the moviestar of the week.. I personally only know Harrisson's name haha, I could not even mention one movie where he plays in without googling it :)

Shared on Twitter and Listnerds...

avatar

Lol, haven't you seen the Indiana Jones series? I personally loved those! It's action, humor and a storyline! And I really loved Harrison as Indiana, he pulls plays that role so well.

avatar

Oh of course, way way way back though lol. So I really wasn't one to remember the names of the actors back then (oops). Maybe I should give those another try soon, for old times sake :) and for Harisson's sake lol.

avatar

Hahaha. Or just another year ... next year part 5 of the Indiana Jones series will be released, starring Harrison as Indiana again. Not sure if he's not too old, but as I don't know the plot, it could be a good watch.

On Dutch TV we had the last 4 mondays every week one of the previous Indian Jones movies. So we watched them all again.

Now you know also how I came up with this name. 😂

avatar

Haha, well maybe I should wait until then so that I can watch them all in a row.. otherwise things are far in my memory again lol.

The most important thing to note about Harrison Ford is related to Star Wars, and can be summed up in three words - Han shot first!

Seriously, though, Ford handles playing a roguish hero quite well in both the Star Wars films and Indiana Jones. Those movies probably would not have worked as well if someone else played those roles.

avatar

Thank you for your comment, and I can only agree with you here. I'm not too familiar with Star Wars myself, but I certainly can not name any other actor that would have been better in the Indiana Jones role.

avatar

agree on Indiana Jones, I don't think there was anyone working in Hollywood at the time that could have done as well. Darn good cast in the whole film for Raiders. Also, the production team avoided going campy, which is what killed the Doc Savage movie a few years before Raiders.

True story on Raiders - one of the executive producers was giving a talk at Fantasy Fair, and mentioned that people will be able to see Raiders in the theaters again as it was going to be re-released. This was August 1982. One of the other attendees mentioned that it was STILL being shown at The Grossmont theater in San Diego, which the exec acknowledged as he remembered being their for a Raiders "birthday party" a couple of months before (complete with birthday cake). Shortly thereafter, Raiders was pulled from the Grossmont theater. God. I love being a part of Fandom!

Raiders is one of the best movies made and still holds up as a great film to watch. May have to break out the popcorn and pop it into the DVD player this weekend.

😳

I like Harrison Ford in Frantic and, best of all, in Witness (maybe because of a Sam Cooke song) 🙂.

Harrison Ford is one of my favorites and the news that there will be another Indiana Jones movie is very exciting. Will be adding it to our DVD collection when it's released that way. I don't go to theaters anymore. One of the reasons I like and respect him is because he keeps his private life private. Great update!
