Netflix Christmas Movie Recommendations.png

Holidays

Almost half-way through December I thought it was time to have a look at some Christmas movies you can find on Netflix this month. I don't know about you but I always love when the streets are slowly turning into magic light balls and you see more Christmas decoration in shopping malls and in and around people's houses. There can be a little downside when you're neighbour across the street has flickering lights 24/7 though. Living on a high floor, we can see such a lovely home a few blocks further and with the brightness of these lights, I feel sad for the people across the street for not having a moment of rest on the eyes. Yes, I love Christmas lights, but it can also be a bit much.

It still gets me into the Christmas vibes and therefore I like to share with you two Christmas movies I've seen in the past weeks as well as another still on my watchlist. Let's see if you already know them or maybe you can put them on your watchlist as well.

Best Christmas Ever (2023)

This was the first Christmas movie I watched with my daughter after browsing Netflix for movies. I admit it's a bit predictable and the acting of some people in the movie is a bit much, it's a bit of a hallmark feel you get from the movie. But there's a market for those too so I won't refrain from sharing this one. The story goes a bit like this: a bunch of friends who are alienated get together for Christmas by accident after the son puts the wrong address in the navigation. Yes, you'd think a parent would notice, which was a bit odd but this is how it goes. I will not spoil what happens after they arrive, you will have to check it out for yourself.

Family Switch (2023)

This is not truly a Christmas movie but it definitely falls under the category to watch with the family and therefore I think it belongs in this list of recommendations.

I always have to think about "The Hangover" when I see Ed Helms in a movie (yes I had to Google his name), the guy on the right. You probably knew that if you saw the hangover movies. Personally, I loved these movies so much so I was curious. The movie is about a family switching bodies after they all wish they'd be someone else. Usually when this happens in a movie, things go horribly wrong and challenges arise. You will have to check the movie yourself to find out how this all plans out.

The Claus Family 3 (2023)

After watching both "Family Switch" and "Best Christmas Ever" in a matter of two days, I checked Netflix for more Christmas movie recommendations and quickly noticed "The Claus Family 3" in the list. I added it to my list, together with part 1 and 2 because I'm not really sure if I saw the first parts already. I yet have to check this. Even if I saw them, we will make this a nice family watch day probably with all three parts to get into the Christmas mood. Below the trailer of part 3 in case you already saw the first two parts:

If you're unsure like me, I will also link the previous parts below so you can make sure to tune in right where you left off or at the very beginning.

So even though I could not tell you much about The Claus family myself, I'm sure you will be able to decide for yourself if you want to see them after watching the trailers. This is one of these Sunday family moments where we watch them all three in a row with a bucket of popcorn and a blanket to keep us warm.

Have fun!

That's all for today and I hope it's enough Christmas vibes to share with you for this weekend. I personally don't mind rewatching some older movies if they were fun to watch but it's also good to see new movies appear every year, even though quite often they have a bit of the same story line. Normally, I'd say this is boring but there's something magical about Christmas that I forgive the makers of Christmas movies for not always being original.

Have a lovely weekend and let me know if you saw any of the movies above in a comment below..
