Weekly Writing Prompts By CineTV - #21

Introduction

How were the Easter days and the other holidays that came with it? Was it any good? Did you have some good family time and enjoyed some sleeping in maybe for a few days? Not everyone was that lucky, my boyfriend had to work the week before Easter but thankfully, even though the kid had to be back in school on Monday, he could enjoy a day of rest on Monday. Apparently, in Andalusia, Easter Monday is not a public holiday. To us, this was strange because we are used to it being a public holiday, but on the other hand, it was not bad because we could go back to the normal school routine on Monday instead of Tuesday.

Did you take advantage of your free days? We watched a great movie (Avatar, the Way of water) and saw a new tv show. Avatar was awesome and I will write a review about it this week. Let's get to the weekly writing prompts so you can get inspired by one of them and add some content to the community.

Crazy!

Crazy can come in many forms, it can be good or bad but I think we can safely say that everyone has experienced something crazy in their lives. Today I'm not looking to hear about these crazy experiences in your life, unless watching a movie triggered you to share the story, of course. But I'm mainly asking which movie you've seen recently that made you think "damn, this is some crazy stuff".

I can expect you to share something positive or negative here because what's crazy to you might not seem that crazy to me, or vice versa. I'm very curious about what type of movies will be shared with the prompt "Crazy". Faith

Now some may think this prompt is about religion but I can assure you it doesn't have to be. Faith can be about other things than religion as well. I for example can say that at some point in my life, I lost faith in humanity in general. Where bad things kept occurring, at some point I had nothing left but to think there were only bad people on the planet. My circle did not show any good anymore and when having nothing left it's hard to keep believing there are people with good intentions.

But I also have to say that some complete strangers showed compassion and have done more for me than anyone once close to me. This resulted in seeing the good in people again and having faith that not everyone is a bad actor and even strangers that walked in your shoes once, are now on the lookout for those that can use a helping hand. If it weren't for them, I would probably stay very suspicious about people in general. They helped me see through the bullshit.

Sometimes I see movies that remind me of our situation back then and I think faith can be broken but also restored. Maybe we can collect a few feel-good movies about this? I always love to see a feel-good movie where someone's faith in humanity is restored. Can you think of one?

Crime

This part of the writing prompt has come to life thanks to talking about criminology with @frey97. She is our youngest CineTV team member and publishes "Freys Findings" every week to share with us what's hot amongst the youth. We don't know much about her yet, but I'm trying to motivate her to share more about her very interesting study of criminology. To me, the name alone makes me want to learn more about it and I hope that she can see that she can be an inspiration to others too, like in this case, I was inspired by having a chat with her about this study.

Crime comes in many forms as well as faith. I love a good crime movie or TV show myself and I'm always trying to find out answers to the investigation in these shows first. I think I'd make a great detective, haha. Anyway, let's see if we can share a crime movie or show that peaked your interest, and if you have a personal story with it, even better.
