Welcome back!

To another week of Weekly Writing Prompts by CineTV. We hope you had a fabulous weekend and that your week started great. Did you watch any movies or tv shows this weekend by any chance? I did, that reminds me that I should write about this movie later. If you saw anything worth sharing, please don't forget to head over to our community and publish your thoughts. Just make sure they are your writings, as we seem to get a lot of plagiarized reviews lately. We keep reminding you to not even bother as we have a whole team dedicated to find this abuse and it will get you nowhere in the long run.

That's all about the topic for now, let's get to last week's writing prompts that were published on the CineTV Twitter account.

1. Wisdom by Elon Musk

You probably love or hate the guy: Elon Musk. He likes to shake things up a lot and he seems to always make that happen no matter what his intentions are, he causes soms buzz. When I read this quote by him, I instantly thought about the movie "The Hunger Games" thanks to the often used phrase "May the odds be forever in your favor". If I'd be the one reading this writing prompt, that was going to be the movie I write about, simply by the words Elon used for his quote. It can be that simple, really! Maybe you have the same thoughts or another one that comes to mind, feel free to share! We love reading personal stories!

2. Quote by Charles Swindoll

As I mentioned before, I collect nice quotes when I see them or when I create a list of the ones that I resonate with somehow. When I read a quote that could be suitable to use for a writing prompt later, I add it to my list and every time I have a quote prompt scheduled, I pull out the one that I resonate with the most at that moment. This can be because of my real life at that moment or because of something I just read or spoke about, anything really.

This quote is actually a reminder to myself as a lot of things are (and have been) happening in my life and I should remind myself to slow down sometimes and mostly to not stress too much about things that I can't change for that moment anyway. Try to adjust and make things easier for the next day(s) is all I can do. So the 90% of how I react to these things is a reminder to myself to at least make sure that I'm not making things worse for myself and that's why I picked this quote at that day.

Quite funny isn't it, I feel these quotes are like tarot cards sometimes, I get great insights from reading them and then somehow other things get connected to reading that quote in the first place, like thinking about a certain movie or tv show. As you can see, there are many ways to get inspired to write about movie related content, even a quote that's not related to a movie.

3. Thanksgiving

Although I'm European and never celebrated Thanksgiving myself, I sure know when it's that time of the year again as I keep getting reminded in movies or on social media. Even though it's not a holiday I celebrate, I can totally see that this brings families together as they are thankful for what they have. I do believe we should be thankful always, not just a few days a year, but having these holidays is a good reminder for some, I guess. If you have a nice story about Thanksgiving to share, even if it wasn't movie related, we'd love to hear from you in a comment or post. I bet everyone that celebrates it probably has one or a few good (or bad!) stories to share.

Thanksgiving is a favorite holiday for my family to all get together and share a wonderful meal. This year was particularly wonderful, and I have written a couple of posts about our Thanksgiving Day. Of course we are thankful everyday, but the tradition of turkey, stuffing and cranberries and mashed potatoes with gravy is simply not to be missed! And nothing beats pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top!

Sounds like you are cherishing these moments every year! I have to admit, I would love to experience a typical Thanksgiving once in my life. Maybe some day :) For us Europeans, it's a thing we see on tv, in movies etc but usually not celebrate. I will make sure to check out your posts about thanksgiving!

Thank you for sharing these moments!
