I find a lot of the older movies you remembered fondly from years ago never really match up to how you once thought it was so good. There are some exceptions though that are still as good as you once remembered them. If you cannot recall a film for whatever reason and unsure if you even watched it you do realise soon enough why you forgot it. This film sounds really different from the normal films produced and can see why you rewatched it as it is that different.

This is normal as you're not the same person either. As time passes, we change and our taste changes with time too.
I'm going to rewatch it before it leaves Netflix as it is indeed different, not the trashy one you see made in Hollywood, that makes you puke. This has substance.
