I just started watching the latest live-action series of The Last Airbender on Netflix and I'm already amazed by the quality of it. The level of detail is spot-on, the visual effects are amazing, and the acting of the characters is a big leap compared to the previous version of the movie.

There are 8 episodes in this series and I've only covered 2 of them. I guess, breaking it into 8 episodes allowed them to tackle every important detail that makes the story more convincing. Even the detail of how Aang got stuck or frozen in ice for a century was provided as well.

In this series, there are more aspects of the story that are being revealed or realized. This is particularly helpful because I never watched the TV cartoon version of the story. I only watched the movie that was released back in 2010 and it's the only source of my knowledge about the movie.

In this new series, there are no major twists that were done in the story. I remember the plot from the movie and I can't help but compare this Netflix series to that one. Everything seems to align with each other.

The big difference is that they greatly improve the quality of the sequence and the visual effects of the powers.

In the 2010 movie, the powers seem underwhelming. There isn't enough feeling of strength in the powers of the characters. In this series, they made it emulate the effects of the powers of the characters in the TV cartoon show.

I still have 6 episodes to go and I'm already looking forward to having some free time to watch the next ones. The battle of Avatar Aang & the Fire Lord is the much-awaited part of this series. I have to prepare a bowl of popcorn for that, lol :)
