Are Those We Trust Really Trustworthy? - RUN

I can say that the 2020 horror/mystery film Run, in which I witnessed the successful acting of Kiera Allen, who gives life to the character of Chloe, who is almost completely isolated from outside life, who received her education from her mother at home and deals with her chronic illness, deeply impressed me not with its story but with the two characters it highlights.

Throughout this article, I will not talk much about the story of the film, but I will focus on the characterization of the protagonists and the way they reflect the roles they play.

Of course, the two characters I am talking about are the mother and the daughter. You met the daughter at the beginning of the article, Chloe, who was born with chronic diseases, is one of the main characters of the film and my favorite. The other one is Sarah Paulson who plays Chloe's mother Diane.

Chloe spends her whole life at home, where she feels the safest, like all of us. Up to a point, everything is going normally, but after some suspicions arise, we find ourselves playing detective through Chloe's character with the mysterious scenes of the movie.

The fluidity of the scenes during the investigation and solving of the mysteries was great, I can say that they were the best scenes of the movie. After the moments when answers to some of the questions that arose spontaneously, there was a decline in the characters in a way I don't know why. The passive reactions to the events were the biggest indicator of this and reflected negatively on the movie.

The story took on a new dimension when they moved out of the house they lived in, and the flow continued where it left off. Diane, as the mother, manages to keep two faces alive and hidden in one body for a very long time. After the revelation of the mystery, the brutality and craziness is projected and it feels as if she is not acting in the horror genre, but in a comedy mocking another movie.

Going from a certain high to a lower level makes the lack of his role more understandable during the viewing. Diane is the main character of the movie and the one I expected to carry the movie. Of the two characters she portrays, she succeeds as the innocent mother who supports her daughter in every way, but fails as the mother after the truth comes out.

Thanks to the mystery at the end and the twist at the end of the movie, it was slightly above average. I disagree with the horror part of the horror/mystery genre because of the failure of the mother character, but I agree with the mystery part because of the character Chloe.

Anyone who wants to watch the story of a mother and daughter, who are in the closest position to each other, breaking away from each other step by step, can watch the movie. The question of whether those we trust are really trustworthy may come to your mind and everyone's answer may reflect their own life. I wish everyone who will watch it a good time.
