Heart of Stone | A look at the technological hero
The technological infrastructure and the power to direct all the devices in the world can trigger the digital apocalypse and cause nightmarish consequences for the users of these devices. The ability to shoot down any airplane in the air, change the traffic lights anywhere you want, tamper with bank accounts and many more can have unimaginable consequences.
If we adapt this scenario to real life, it is indeed possible to call it a digital apocalypse, and the consequences would indeed go beyond predictions. But when it's a movie scenario, it can turn into a great action movie that promises hours of enjoyment.
When the whole story revolves around a technological hero, master director Tom Harper has created Heart of Stone, a beautiful action movie that is not expected from him. The technological heroine plays Rachel Stone (played by Gal Gadot), a double agent tasked with maintaining global peace.
I am sure you will understand better why I call her a technological heroine when you watch the movie. We are used to the characters in the Matrix movies knowing everything they don't know because everything they don't know is downloaded in a few seconds, but in Heart of Stone, agent Rachel knows almost everything without any bootstrapping. It's a bit funny and unrealistic, but contradiction suits action movies. I like exaggeration in action movies, no matter what the setup is.
Those who remember the movie Nikita can watch Gal Gadot as Agent Rachel and make comparisons between the two movies in terms of agents and some scenes. Agent Rachel reminded me of Nikita with her descent from the snow-covered mountain, one of the opening scenes of the movie.
The fact that there are hacker wars in the dark environment of the internet adds extra flavor to the movie and supports the action genre with its gripping adventure. The technological weapon to be captured is a kind of artificial intelligence program and has access to all active devices. While the scenario is like this, I find it strange that artificial intelligence is not mentioned in such a technological movie.
Since last summer, I got used to #Netflix's successful movies in the action genre. Heart of Stone is just one of the last productions that I think is successful and I strongly recommend you to watch it. It is a pleasure to watch the good agent Rachel and the bad agent Parker, who are trying to save the world, fight throughout the movie and offer this pleasure to yourself.
