Released in 2018, I watched the movie In Like Flynn because of its progressive story and adventurous scenes.

Initially, I enjoyed the movie because I thought it was the kind of movie I was looking for, but the story got bogged down at some point and I got bored.

When the group filming in the jungle for the production company was attacked by the locals, the treasure they uncovered was quite appetizing. Errol Flynn (played by Thomas Cocquerel), one of the group who barely escapes with their lives, makes new moves to get the gold in the following days.

This strengthened my expectations for a successful and adventurous movie. My expectation was that the team would form and go to the place where the treasure was found and fight the natives who were trying to protect the gold for their God.

While I found the beginning of the story successful, the movie got bogged down at this point and even though the goal seemed to be to get the treasure, it turned into a struggle with personal problems and a sea voyage. Although the flow was good, the movie was stuck in the same loop for a while, which made it boring.

The movie about the life of Errol Flynn focuses on the lives of the 4 people on the boat during the sea voyage. It takes almost until the end of the movie for the characters to remember that they are gathered for a common purpose while questioning their past and present.

When they remember that the common goal is the treasure and join forces, it is not only the movie that ends. It is also the end of the lives of the characters that are highlighted.

I refrain from making a recommendation to watch the movie, saying that I found it extremely mediocre. In terms of acting performances, it is a very bad movie, the characters' incompatibility with their roles and other characters is very noticeable. If you are interested in a bit of adventure and the sea voyage that follows, you can watch it.
