October Gale - The effects of life's surprises on life

"Love is different in November", but don't underestimate the knock on the door and the person who might walk in on a stormy October! In the movie October Gale, October is in competition with November for love and there is even a possibility of a winner.

Like "the doctor comes to the patient who is going to be fine", a man who has been tossed by the storm knocks on the door of the woman who is a doctor, injured. So far, the spark to start a love scenario has already been achieved. Moreover, they have more than one advantage; there is a storm outside, energy and communication channels are cut...

...but there's an unwritten rule that everything that goes well has to go bad in some way, and this rule, whether in movies or in real life, always remains valid and makes itself felt at unexpected moments. It happens again; the people who did this to the wounded man are still after him.

Although the prospect of a possible romance between them seems to be put on hold for a while, in terms of the script and the locations used in the story, October Gale was one of the productions that I thought was extremely successful.

The movie has a flowing story and manages to keep you watching every scene from the beginning to the end. The story and the dialogues are handled with straight logic and presented in a simple narrative without leaving us in too much of an ebb and flow. The simplicity of the movie makes it comfortable to watch because the chain of events that could happen to any of us in real life is shown in an extremely understated and simple way.

There is no noticeable positivity or negativity in the actors' performances. I can say that the simplicity in the story is reflected in the performances of the actors with ease. It seems as easy as a man beating the goalkeeper and passing the ball to his friend to score an empty goal, but we are not aware of the effort that goes into this action. Personally, I see this as the success of the director and the screenwriter. I mean, I think they were the ones who prepared the empty goal.

The romantic aspect of the film is the behavior of the characters. The words and actions of the actors, who do not show behavioral disorders to each other even in difficult moments, are exemplary, but the politeness is a bit exaggerated. The movie doesn't make you grin, but it makes you question yourself mentally. Do such people really exist, and if so, why don't they come across me?

The tense atmosphere created in the movie with the storm was good in terms of reflecting the instant atmosphere. The expectation was that the tension would continue exponentially, but unfortunately it did not. For a while, a warm and intimate atmosphere is created with the personal stories of the characters. Immediately afterwards, the main element of the story needs to come into play more intensely and the chase scenes were expected to be longer. Even though the expectations were not fully met, it did not negatively affect the enjoyment of the movie too much.

The biggest criticism I would make about the movie is the lack of focus on the motives after the added mystery is gone. This didn't negatively affect the performances of the actors or the movie, but it made the story of the movie incomplete. Most people don't even notice this when they watch it carelessly, but as someone who watches it carefully; I wish the gap in the story I mentioned was filled.

October Gale is not a very very good movie but it is not a mediocre movie either. It is above average and deserves to be watched. I recommend you to watch it, the romance is kept in dose and realistic and reflected. I loved the house where part of the story takes place and the location of the house. It is definitely a place to live. Thank you for being here and reading. I hope my article has helped to give you some ideas. I wish everyone who is inclined to watch it, have a good watch. Bye!
