Tonight I watched the film Vanilla Sky once again. There were two important reasons for this. Seeing Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz in the same film and the fact that the voice actor who dubbed Tom Cruise in Turkish for years had died.
When we watched Tom Cruise's films with the dubbing option, it was identified with his voice for us. The Mission Impossible series was one of the best examples of dubbing.
Penelope Cruz was perfect in terms of her physique and acting. Although Tom Cruise was more prominent in the film with his character David, it was a pleasure to watch the film for Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz. My preference from the duo will always be Penelope Cruz.
There is more than one reason for this, but the most important one is that Penelope Cruz seems more attractive, intelligent and sexy to me when I evaluate her in terms of the opposite sex.
The film Vanilla Sky can be considered as a very complicated sci-fi option in terms of subject matter. I didn't have a clear idea of what was going on in the film until the last 15 minutes. Moreover, even though I had seen the film years ago, it still had the same mystery. In the last part, the whole story integrates with each other and the scenes that do not make sense make sense by themselves.
Even in the parts that are not fully understood, I can say that the film is successful in arousing curiosity about the progress of the film and keeping the audience in front of the screen. The fact that Tom Cruise, who played a rich and spoiled snob at the beginning, found himself in the middle of the drama story as the film progressed was the mystery of the film's gripping flow. After his accident, the mysterious scenes are so intertwined that I had the feeling of solving the events together with David.
And it is up to the last part of the film to solve the events, to make sense of the film from beginning to end. And the last part is the glue of the film because it connects the whole film.

But when I think that the film was made in 2001, the scenario is quite interesting and makes people think more about the future. Of course, it also triggers a sense of curiosity.
I watched the film in the past, I watched it again tonight and while I remembered some scenes, I had the feeling that I watched some of them for the first time. The time that has passed may have made me forget or I may have been busy with other work in the scenes I thought I had not watched.
