Finally writing about a movie that actually makes sense LOL. Last few movies have been pretty confusing.

I took my boy to the fair the other day, rode some rides, saw fireworks and stuff like that. Plus, I remembered seeing a meme with a scene from The Sandlot the other day. So I guess I just felt like watching the classic movie, especially with my son with me.

The Sandlot might be the most wholesome movie ever. It was pure nostalgia watching this, I'm so glad that I'm the one to show my son this classic!

Growing up, my family had a pretty big collection of VHS movies. They were all stacked perfectly, and I loved looking at all the different titles. It felt like I was connected to the past or something, it felt magical. But yeah, in that collection was 'The Sandlot'. I'm ninety-five percent sure I watched this one by myself one day, just popped it in the machine. Must have been 4 or possibly even younger. I did not realize that this was such a famous movie, I just knew I enjoyed it.

The movie is hilarious and super relatable to practically anyone, especially to those of us that grew up in the boring burbs. As well as those who love baseball.

Looking back now, I think The Sandlot inspired me to play baseball.

The story is just beautifully written. As I re-watched last night I felt so lucky that I got to watch such a great movie at a young age. It really holds up in 2023, of course the nostalgia doesn't hurt.

The story makes you feel like change is literally just a part of life. The main character lost his dad, moved cities, had a new step-dad, and managed to make new friends, learn a new sport and have an adventure all in one summer. Then those homies slowly moved away and it was such a beautiful, swift bittersweet story I guess you can say. Shows how everything in life is temporary so enjoy the moment as much as you can. What a simple, but great message.

I hadn't watched this one in years, must be close to fifteen years, roughly. I remember I felt like this movie got old as a 12 or 13 year old because I watched it so much. But wow, watching it as an older man was pretty dang cool I must say, I appreciate it more, and kind of understand it more too. I noticed that I consider the adults' perspectives even more. The Sandlot is like a whole new movie for me at my older age.

A cool aspect of this movie is how crisp and clean the whole film is in general. Like, the actual camera work, sceneries and just overall picture quality is really fantastic in The Sandlot.

Even as a kid I was surprised at how good it looked. I thought this movie was old at the time, so the good quality sort of confused me LOL.

That end chase scene between Benny and The Beast might be one of the greatest chase scenes EVER!

This was such a treat. If you have not lived under a rock, I am sure you have seen it. If you have not seen it, go and do that ASAP!

I give this one a 9.2/10!!

I love this movie and I haven't seen it in a long time.

When I was a kid it was broadcasted every Sunday on national channels in Venezuela, it was nice to see the story of this group of friends and from that moment on it felt very real because it was like watching every game I had with my friends at that age; I imagine that watching it again would create an immense nostalgia.

Excellent review.

Yes, that's a good point! I also felt like the movie transitioned to real life seamlessly, and easily. I watched the movie, next thing I knew I was playing it! What a film, thanks so much for commenting. I hope you re-watch it soon!! I almost cried hahahaha
