On the weekends, I watch a lot of movies and tv shows with @flowerbaby. We both enjoy film a lot and love to get each other to watch the next great (or sometimes shitty) thing together. A few days ago, we found one that we both enjoyed in the oddest of ways.
I present to you, Fall.
This film fits well into the thriller genre and my goodness is it thrilling. If your idea of a good time is to have a racing heart and the feeling of overflowing anxiety, then Fall is the movie for you. It had both of our stomachs turning most of the time throughout the 1h 47m run time.
You can probably tell by the Fall's movie poster that this is all about extreme heights. These two absolutely insane girls decide it's a good idea to climb a 2,000ft/600m radio tower. This thing hasn't been used in years and it's out in the middle of nowhere. This makes it easy to sneak onto and climb, but also means there will be nobody around to help them if something goes wrong.
Seeing as this is a movie, of course, things go terribly wrong. I will not spoil it and tell you what, but let's just say I'm glad I wasn't the one on top of the tower.
The film does a great job of playing tricks on your mind. When it seems like things are going to get better, they get worse, and vice versa. Even though the two main characters are mostly in the same place during the movie, the writers still found a way to get creative and keep things fresh the entire time.
Although the main actors aren't people I've ever seen before, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Neegan from The Walking Dead) does have a role of a secondary character that appears every so often. The two new girls (at least they were new to me) do a great job keeping the viewer entertained. This is large because the plot of the movie itself is just so unique and impossible to look away from unless of course, you are afraid of heights.

This movie really took my breath away, man. I can't even climb halfway to the top of a place like that, let alone stay on top of it. I'd be scared.
It was extremely nerve racking for the both of us. I enjoyed the anxious sensations, but my gf was too stressed out at times. I think this movie smashed it out of the park in terms of making the viewer feel the emotions of the girls stuck on the tower.

I'm pretty happy to see this film getting some attention. It isn't the type of thing I would watch, but I can see how it's an attempt from Hollywood to return to their more simple narratives with less ambitious budgets. A sign of more creative productions to come!
I agree, I usually get bored with movies where people are trapped in the same place the entire time. This one somehow managed to keep me interested the entire time. It deserves a lot of respect.
It’s on my list to watch in the future, it took me ages to get over watching “the walk” this sounds similar.
You just reminded me of that film. The Walk was another really great movie that made you feel uneasy.

This is probably the best movie in terms of poking at someone’s fear of heights.
I have a really long list of unwatched movies, one of them is Dune 😂 we have it on my computer, but we are still skipping it. Yesterday my girlfriend and I we have watched shows specifically Sex Education, it's an England pretty good drama show. Today we are waiting for The House of the Dragon.

Dune is really cool, and definitely worth watching. I'm excited that they announced a Dune MMO video game.
The House of Dragon episode 4 was basically sex education. We were both surprised at how sexual that episode was, but then again it is in the world of GoT.

Every day we have electrical cuts, some are arount the 4 hours, but others more than 8. It's a nightmare. I want to leave, seriously, maybe the US or another country of LATAM like Costa Rica. I'm saving for that.

That's a bad idea, I would love it if my heart was pounding and it seemed to burst out of my chest if I was on the Gauley River. LOL

This is a movie that will give you a rush many times throughout it. It is a very intense film.

I feel like shit like that is for spoiled kids that are bored or some shit lol. I get doing adrenaline things but taking excessive risks like that is stupid as shit and is just people who are bored and need attention. I know it's a movie but that stuff happens sadly more than we think! The movie sounds like it was pretty wild but I'm sure that it gets a little old being in the same spot for most of the movie.
I think you are right. There probably are people in the world crazy enough to do something like this. The girl in the movie was motivated by likes on social media, so I'm sure that fuels much of the youth to make stupid decisions such as climbing a dangerous tower.
