This has got to be one of the funniest shows that I've watched in quite some time. It hasn't been trending on Netflix for no reason. Sometimes the trending movies or tv shows are lame, but Beef stands out as one of the greatest in quite some time.

The way that I even found out about this show by watching an episode of one of my favorite podcasts called Bad Friends. You may be familiar with it as it is hosted by two hilarious comedians Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino. My friend Lee told me about this podcast and I've been hooked since. Bobby Lee and Santino share the same sense of humor that me and my friend share. That's why I knew that when they mentioned Beef during one of the recent episodes, I had to take the time to watch it. I had already heard of it but was sleeping on how good it was.

Santino actually has a minor role in the show and his character is pretty hilarious. Bobby Lee was supposed to be in the show too, but his role was filled by another Asian dude because Bobby was in rehab at the time. It's a shame because the show would have been even better with Bobby.

The show basically centers around two people who get into a heated war with each other over a road rage incident. One is an extremely successful mom and the other is a struggling handyman. It starts off with small things, but develops into both characters doing things that could potentially ruin each other's lives. It's amazing!

I don't want to spoil this for you, but trust me, if you like comedy you need to watch Beef.

In my video today, I will be talking a bit more about the show and why it's so freaking good. There is a lot to like about it and I really can't think of anything bad. It's got humor, mystery, and a ton of cool characters. Once again, no spoilers in my video so feel free to watch and see if Beef seems like your type of show.

Impressive review.

I think I'll look up the Beef movie and I am sure I share your humor, which means I'll enjoy the movie. 😁

Thank you for the review and recommendations.

It's obviously going to be funny πŸ˜ƒ

You will get a lot from this show, not just laughs.

I've watched Beef! It was hilarious. How road rage escalated to a life-and-death situation in the middle of nowhere 🀣 It was sick! And I still bring the "meat" of the movie to this day. Hahaha - vengeance never ends!

So glad you've had a chance to watch this. It was awesome!

May be the people in the behind is there to kindnap you :P

avatar

I was looking for a new show to watch.... I think I found it. Will check it out tonight. Thanks!

This is the the one. I've been trying to convince as many people as I can to watch this. I'm all for supporting comedians in whatever they do. I don't want comedy to die.

avatar

I'll come back here after I watch it. Me and my wife love good comedies.

avatar

Really good series! Had a lot of fun watching this weekend. Crazy people!!!!! Thanks!!

avatar

That's awesome that you not only got a chance to watch it, but also loved it like I did.

avatar

We liked it also!
Mostly we skip American shows on Netflix but this was a good one!

avatar

I skip a lot of foreign shows too, but there is occasionally one that is really good. I keep my mind open, but it's difficult to get me to commit to an entire series.

I liked this, a lot. It was a little dramatic at times, beyond belief almost, but the core message resonates with a lot of people, especially people in the 30+, 40+ age range.

Interestingly, the younger brother who seems to be a crypto connoisseur accurately portrays why I believe a lot of younger people get involved with crypto today. As opposed to why people entered crypto in the much earlier days, the allure of building wealth quickly against the lack of opportunities elsewhere rings very true. I didn't like the resolution to this as I don't feel a moral to that part was brought full circle.

Otherwise, it was one of the few shows I binged in it's entirety in a single day in quite a while!

avatar

My friend and I both loved it. We tried to recommend it to each other and then found out we had both already finished the entire first season and shared equal love for it.

I did appreciate the had some mention of crypto. I loved that little brother, such a cool character. He was definitely lacking guidance though and reminded me of a lot of people I know who are just gambling with crypto.

I can’t say I watched all of this in a single day, but I did do multiple episodes in one day which is very rare for me. It took me less than 2 weeks to finish.

I loved Beef, the way it swings between comedy and drama it's exquisite, like you said, it was top trending for some reason, and Ali y Yeun did an amazing job working together.

avatar

It's a really good blend. I’m also a big fan of David Choe and loved his character a lot.

avatar

i'm gonna give it a try man, thanks for the recommendation!

avatar

You're gonna like it a lot I know it.

avatar

I just read an article about it today. What is most interesting to me is that it criticise today's capitalism.

avatar

There are a ton di underlying messages if you look at it from different angles. I think its relevancy contributed to what made it so entertaining.

avatar

😏😜😎🌈

Where's the beef?!!

It's ok to get mad sometimes.. we are human, but then we should just let it go.. at least silly things like road rage.
