The latest police series premieres have exceeded expectations, as they feature storylines packed with explosions and action scenes—much like other shows in the same genre that, beyond the gunfire, seek to show that behind the uniform are people with lives of their own who must know which decisions to make. That’s why a new series called GIGN: Elite Unit is coming—a story in which every episode will feature chases, shootouts, and high-risk operations, but which also explores sacrifice and responsibility. That’s why this series aims to stand out and be very different from those that already exist.

Los últimos estreno de series de policías han superado las expectativas, ya que presentan una historia cargada explosiones y escenas de acción, como otras que son del mismo género que más allá de disparos, buscan mostrar que detrás de ese uniforme hay personas que tienen una vida y tiene que saber qué decisión tomar. Por eso llega una nueva serie conocida como GIGN: Unidad de élite, siendo una historia que en cada episodio habrá persecuciones, disparos y operaciones de alto riesgo, pero que también habla del sacrificio, la responsabilidad, por eso esta serie busca marcar la diferencia y ser muy distinta a las que ya existen.

This series has very few episodes, which is why they’re all so well-developed—there’s no filler when it comes to handling a case—and it’s clear that being part of an elite unit is no easy feat and that you have to take big risks to go far. Another very interesting aspect is that every mission is fraught with decisions, and even a small mistake can cost many lives—which is why the tension builds with each episode, since you never know what might happen.

The series stands out for the way the action sequences—especially the various shootout scenes—are executed, as everything feels realistic, just like in real life. Furthermore, all the characters in the series are in the same boat, as they all experience fear, exhaustion, and the enormous weight of responsibility they carry on their shoulders when carrying out a mission. It also highlights that behind every soldier there is a family that needs to be cared for and loved—which is why the series is the perfect blend of reality and fiction.

Another area for improvement could be including a bit more about the soldiers’ personal lives, since with so many missions, there’s little time to get to know the team members better—even though they’re a very solid, resilient team with unique abilities that only they possess.

Esta serie cuenta con muy pocos episodios y por eso todos están muy bien desarrollados, sin relleno al momento de llevar un caso y queda claro que formar parte de una unidad de élite ni es nada fácil y se tiene que arriesgar mucho para poder llegar lejos. Otras de las cosas que es muy interesante es que cada misión que se tome está llena de decisiones y un pequeño error puede costar muchas vidas, por eso la tensión va aumentando en cada episodio, ya que uno no sabe qué pueda ocurrir.

La serie se destaca por la manera como lograron hacer toda la acción, las distintas escenas de disparos, porque todo se siente realista, como si fuera en la vida real. Además, los personajes de la serie todos están en la misma posición, puesto que todos presentan miedo, cansancio y el enorme peso de la responsabilidad que llevan sobre sus hombros al momento de hacer una misión, como también resalta que detrás de cada soldado hay una familia que se tiene que cuidar y querer, por eso la serie es la combinación perfecta entre algo real e imaginario.

Otras de las cosas que pueden llegar a mejorar es poder incluir un poco más cosas personales de los soldados, ya que al contar con demasiadas misiones hay poco tiempo para conocer mejor a quienes integran el equipo, a pesar de ser un equipo muy sólido, resistente y con unas capacidades que solo ellos pueden tener.

I really liked the outcome of this short series, GIGN: Elite Unit, which stands out for its great action scenes while also reminding us that being a police officer is a job for the brave. As a result, this production combines high-risk operations with the more human side of each person, as well as the teamwork and courage they bring to a city. So if you like police dramas, this one will be perfect for you.

Me gusto mucho el resultado de esta pequeña serie de GIGN: Unidad de élite, donde se destaca por sus buenas escenas de acción y al mismo tiempo, recuerda que ser policía es un trabajo para valientes, por ende esta producción es la combinación entre operaciones de alto riesgo y en lado más humano de cada persona, además ese trabajo en equipo y el valor que le aportan a una ciudad. Por eso si te gustan las series de policiales esta será perfectamente para ti.
