The film introduces us to Yi, a teenager who is still trying to understand the silence left by her father's death, which is very difficult for any young person today. In the midst of her grief, Everest appears, a yeti as enormous as he is innocent, who not only needs to return home, but also becomes the emotional push that Yi didn't know she needed. In addition, their friendship, despite their differences, becomes much greater than one could imagine, and this is where we ask ourselves, “Will they be able to complete the adventure?” Furthermore, the journey they embark on together is not only geographical; it is an emotional journey that progresses slowly, allowing emotions to breathe and thus return much stronger.

Las películas animadas son de ese género que se adaptan a todas las edades y a la vez que parecen simples a primera vista, pero esconden algo más bajo su capa de ternura y color, para que así se vuelvan especiales. Esta vez todo será muy distinto y es que veremos a un yeti adorable, la cual permite crear una gran aventura, paisajes que parecen postales animadas, pero también hay una historia que abarca muchos elementos sobre la pérdida, el crecimiento y el aprender a soltar, por ende serán los minutos más divertidos.

La película nos presenta a Yi, una adolescente que todavía intenta entender el silencio que dejó la muerte de su padre, siendo algo muy fuerte para cualquier joven hoy en día y en medio de ese duelo aparece Everest, un yeti tan enorme como inocente, que no solo necesita volver a casa, sino que también se convierte en el empujón emocional que Yi no sabía que necesitaba, además esa relación de amistad que a pesar de las diferencias se vuelven mucho más grande de lo que uno se imagina y es aquí donde nos preguntamos ¿Podrán completar la aventura?. Además, ese viaje que emprenden juntos no es solo geográfico; es una travesía emocional que avanza sin prisa, dejando que las emociones respiren y de esa manera poder volver mucho más fuerte.

Visually, the film is a work of art, as they did a very good job and you can see that effort, starting with the animation, which is very bright, detailed, and full of moments that invite you to pause for a second longer than usual. In addition, another thing that adds value to each scene is the music, nature, and magic that blend together in such a way that they don't need words to work; they simply shine and everything becomes special. That is precisely one of its greatest successes: when the story relies on images and silence, it creates something unique and allows it to go far.

Visualmente, la película es una obra de arte, ya que hicieron un trabajo muy bueno y se nota ese esfuerzo, comenzando desde la animación que es muy luminosa, detallada y llena de momentos que invitan a detenerse un segundo más de lo habitual. Además, otra de las cosas que le da valor a cada escena es la música, la naturaleza y la magia que se mezclan de tal forma que no necesitan palabras para funcionar, simplemente brillan y todo se vuelve especial. Justamente ahí está uno de sus mayores aciertos: cuando la historia confía en las imágenes y en el silencio, crea algo único y permite que llegue lejos.

Cada segundo de la película se vuelve más emocionante y a pesar de tener una estructura que es bastante conocida si la comparamos con otras películas animadas y no se arriesga, aun si funciona. Como también cada uno de los villanos cumplen su función, los conflictos se resuelven como se espera y todo va saliendo de la mejor manera, con el objetivo de que esta película animada sea muy cálida, tranquila, sorprendente y emocional antes que compleja.

Al final, la película deja una sensación agradable, emotiva como una caminata larga que no cansa. No es una obra que revolucione la animación, pero sí una que transmite buenos mensajes comenzando desde la honestidad. Por eso se convierte en una de esa película que es ideal para verla en familia, pero también para quienes disfrutan de historias sencillas que recuerdan que crecer, a veces, significa aprender a decir adiós.
