My Small View About Indian Language

Greetings oo, to my fellows hivians, hope we dey having a great moment today oo. Just dey feel like to write today in our English tongue with pidgin.

Indian language dey sweet my ear anytime I hear am. The first time I hear Hindi for film, I just dey laugh because e sound like song. Dem dey talk am fast-fast, but e still fine for my ear. I later hear say Hindi mean “Indian language” and na one of the main language wey plenty people for India dey use.

But no be only Hindi dem get o. I come dey hear say dem still get Tamil wey mean “sweetness” Telugu wey mean “white hill” Malayalam wey mean “mountain region” Kannada wey mean “language of the people”, Bengali wey mean “people of Bengal”, Punjabi wey mean “five rivers” and Gujarati wey mean “people of Gujarat” . When I hear am for film or song, e dey confuse me small because all of dem get different sound. But the thing sweet me, e be like music for my listen.

The thing wey shock me pass be say dem no dey drop their language like us Nigerians wey plenty of us don forget mother tongue. For India, person go fit talk English, but when dem reach house, dem dey use their real language. Even for school and TV, dem dey still use am. For Nigeria here, many of us just wan form English, we no dey too proud of our own talk.

When I dey watch Indian movie, the way dem dey mix language with dance and music dey scatter my head. When person talk “namaste” (wey mean “I greet you”), e no be ordinary, e dey carry respect. If na Yoruba we go just say “ẹ káàsán” (good afternoon) normal, but their own get plenty feeling inside with wetin I dey look for in their movie.

To me, Indian language no be ordinary talk. Na culture, na respect, na music, na family love all inside one. One day, I go like sabi small small word for Hindi, just to feel close to them.
