Why “Krrish” Remains My Favorite Movie Till Today
If someone asks me what my favorite movie is, I won’t even think twice before saying Krrish, it an Indian movie. I watched it many years ago, but the feeling it gave me is still fresh in my heart. It’s not just because of the action or superpowers, but because of the lessons hidden inside the story. That movie touched me in a simple but deep way.
Growing up in Nigeria, we watched many kinds of movies Nollywood, Hollywood, and even Bollywood. Indian movies were very common in many homes, especially the old ones with strong family values. When I watched Krrish for the first time, I didn’t fully understand everything, but I felt something special. A young man discovering who he really is, learning about his abilities, and choosing to use his power to help people instead of destroying them. That alone spoke loudly to me.
One thing I really loved about Krrish is the relationship between the son and his grandmother, and the memory of his parents. It reminded me of how African and Indian families value guidance, respect, and moral teaching. In Nigeria, parents always remind us to use whatever gift we have for good, not for pride. Krrish showed that clearly. Even when he realized he was different and powerful, he stayed humble. That lesson stayed with me.
The movie also inspired hope. It made me feel like even if you come from a small or quiet place, you can still become something meaningful. Many youths in Nigeria and India grow up with big dreams but limited opportunities. Watching Krrish made me believe that your background doesn’t limit your future. What matters is character, discipline, and choice.
I won’t lie, some scenes were funny, some were emotional, and some even made me think too much. The music, the fight scenes, and even the love story all added to the beauty. But beyond entertainment, the movie taught responsibility. Power without wisdom is dangerous. That’s something my parents always said too, even without using big grammar.
Till today, Krrish is still my favorite movie because it connects fantasy with real-life lessons. It entertained me, inspired me, and reminded me of the values my parents tried to teach me while growing up. I may have watched many movies after that, but Krrish still holds a special place in my heart.
