Este año he visto muchas reseñas sobre la muy comentada película "El ménu" y todo lo que se habla sobre este mundo de las artes culinarias, todo lo que se esconde detrás de esta profesión que pocos valientes son capaces de llevar con gran pasión durante toda su vida, en lo personal es una trabajo que respeto mucho y al cual le tengo mucha admiración, porque yo no seria capaz de trabajar en una profesión como esta, siento que demanda mucha presión.
This year I have seen many reviews about the highly commented film "El ménu" and all the talk about this world of culinary arts, everything that is hidden behind this profession that few brave people are capable of carrying with great passion throughout His life, personally, is a job that I respect a lot and for which I have a lot of admiration, because I would not be able to work in a profession like this, I feel that it demands a lot of pressure.

Aunque no he podido ver esta película que les mencione anteriormente, si tuve la oportunidad de ver una película tailandesa que acaba de ser estrenada en Netflix títulada HUNGER, la cual me llamo mucho la atención porque se centra mucho en lo despiadado que puede ser este mundo de la gastronomia sobretodo cuando hablamos de estatus, clases sociales e injusticias, dicen que tiene mucho parecido con "El menú".

Ultimamente se le ha dado mucha más visibilidad a esta profesión tan poco valorada y respetada y lo podemos notar en programas como masterchef y películas de este estilo, la verdad esto nos ha permitido conocer un poco más allá lo que significa el arte de la cocina o bien conocido como artes culinarias de una forma más profesional, por lo menos en mi caso disfruto mucho viendo programas como masterchef y de lo que son capaces de crear estas personas con ingredientes comunes y corrientes.

Esta película tiene excelentes actuaciones, la protagonista esta maravillosa en su papel al igual que el chef Paul, los platos son los protagonistas de la trama, la música, la ambientación, tal vez le falto algo más pero en lo personal siento que estuvo completa y te permite conocer ese mundo cruel y obstentoso que se vive detrás de la alta gastronomia, esa de la que se rodean celebridades, politicos y gente de clase social muy alta, gente que paga lo que sea por comer la comida de un chef reconocido en esta esfera gastronomica.

Estamos ante un thriller gastronomico que contiene escenas un poquito perturbadoras, sobretodo cuando hablamos de la ultima comida que te gustaría comer antes de morir, pero la forma de presentarlo en la película fue de impacto porque no te imaginas lo poco sensible que puede llegar hacer un chef con tal de satisfacer a sus clientes, un mundo donde las injusticias se viven a flor de piel, estoy segura que más de uno terminara odiando al personaje del chef Paul como me paso a mi, aunque trate de ser empatica con su historia al final no pude.

Vi El menú y me gustó, por lo que cuentas sí podría llegar a decir que se parece bastante, salvo que la del menú es una sátira así que trata de ironizar todo este ambiente haciendo escenas absurdas y alguna que otra perturbadora. Por lo que vi del tráiler de esta, maneja un tono más serio y parece bastante obscura, y se ve mucho más perturbadora. Los tailandeses no se andan con rodeos.

Yo honestamente no me imaginaba como era ese mundo hasta que comencé a ver esta clase de películas, la verdad que lo único que pensaba es que era un trabajo demasiado agotador, exigente y que demanda mucha responsabilidad porque su elemento principal es la comida y es algo que hay que trabajar con mucho cuidado. Me encantó tu reseña, creo que le voy a dar una oportunidad a esta película. La había visto en Netflix pero no me había llamado la atención porque no sabía de qué se trataba.
El mundo de la gastronomía es increíblemente cruel, justo hace unos días mi esposo me preguntaba si no me gustaría estudiar eso, pero yo le dije que ni loca, me gusta mucho la cocina, pero ese ambiente es horrible y por lo que cuentas esta película reafirma esa creencia.
