Esta vez lo hago con una película muy añorada por aquellos adultos jóvenes de los años 90, que pudimos disfrutar su encantadora y exitosa versión animada del 2002 y con la ansiedad de saber si su live action seria igual de buena que la original.
This time I'm doing it with a film that was so missed by those young adults of the 90s, who were able to enjoy its charming and successful 2002 animated version and were anxious to know if its live action would be as good as the original.
Sinceramente no estoy muy acostumbrada a los live action, no son de mi agrado, pero como mis gustos no son tan exigentes, puedo decir que estuve encantada con el gran trabajo que hizo la pequeña Maia Kealoha en su interpretación de Lilo, su debut estuvo maravilloso, y entiendo porque la elogiaron tanto en redes sociales, es una niña con un carisma y un talento nato para la actuación, sin duda alguna.
Honestly, I'm not very used to live action, they're not to my liking, but since my tastes are not that demanding, I can say that I was delighted with the great work that little Maia Kealoha did in her interpretation of Lilo, her debut was wonderful, and I understand why she was praised so much on social networks, she is a girl with charisma and a natural talent for acting, without a doubt.
Para los que nunca han visto la película, la historia de Lilo y Nani es un poco trágica, ya que perdieron a sus padres a una edad muy temprana, algo que para ningún hijo es fácil de superar, más aún cuando solo eres una niña de seis años y una joven adulta que apenas esta abriendo sus alas. Este lamentable hecho deja a una hermana mayor con el difícil trabajo de, vivir con la perdida de sus padres, ser una adulta responsable y a la vez lograr ser una especie de madre para su hermana menor, sin tener idea de lo que esto significa, porque le toco asumir el papel de tutora legal de su hermana y demostrar que era capaz de cuidar de Lilo y brindarle un hogar seguro.
For those who have never seen the film, the story of Lilo and Nani is a bit tragic, since they lost their parents at a very young age, something that is not easy for any child to overcome, even more so when you are only a six-year-old girl and a young adult who is just spreading her wings. This unfortunate event leaves an older sister with the difficult job of living with the loss of her parents, being a responsible adult and at the same time managing to be a kind of mother to her younger sister, without having any idea of what this means, because she had to assume the role of legal guardian of her sister and prove that she was capable of taking care of Lilo and providing her with a safe home.
La historia refleja la difícil relación que tienen ambas hermanas y lo complicado que se vuelve para Nani demostrar a los servicios sociales que esta apta para brindarle un hogar seguro a la pequeña Lilo, y por otro lado, tenemos un mundo galáctico donde un científico malvado diseño y fabrico al experimento 626 mejor conocido como Stitch, el cuál por una serie de acontecimientos logra escapar y llegar a la tierra, donde conoce a la pequeña Lilo en un refugio de animales. Ambos con una personalidad muy similar, un poco temperamental y algo destructiva se vuelven amigos inseparables.
The story reflects the difficult relationship that both sisters have and how complicated it becomes for Nani to prove to social services that she is fit to provide a safe home for little Lilo, and on the other hand, we have a galactic world where an evil scientist designed and manufactured experiment 626 better known as Stitch, which by a series of events manages to escape and reach Earth, where he meets little Lilo in an animal shelter. Both with a very similar personality, a little temperamental and somewhat destructive, they become inseparable friends.
Como opinión personal, siento que le falto más desarrollo, en algunos momentos da la sensación que la historia avanza demasiado rápido, lo que no te permite crear ese vinculo emocional con el drama, y como mencione anteriormente no soy fan de estas producciones y más cuando mezclan humanos con personajes hiperrealistas por lo que me cuesta un poco aceptar este tipo de películas, pero si me produjo bonitos recuerdos porque retrocedí en el tiempo cuando la vi por primera a mis 12 años, aunque sin duda no tuvo el mismo impacto ni se compara con la película animada.
As a personal opinion, I feel that it lacked more development, at times it feels like the story is moving too fast, which doesn't allow you to create that emotional connection with the drama, and as I mentioned before I'm not a fan of these productions and even more so when they mix humans with hyperrealistic characters so it's a bit hard for me to accept this type of films, but it did give me nice memories because I went back in time when I saw it for the first time when I was 12 years old, although it certainly didn't have the same impact nor does it compare to the animated film.
A pesar de todo, no puedo negar que por poco me hacen salir un par de lagrimas en unas de las escenas finales, porque fue un momento realmente muy emotivo, y siempre recordando la frase épica de Ohana significa familia y la familia nunca te abandona. Para aquel que no sea muy exigente a nivel de producción, y desarrollo de historia le recomiendo que la vea si quiere vivir en primera persona la experiencia, sobretodo si tienes niños en casa, ya que ellos son los que más la disfrutan.
Despite everything, I can't deny that I almost shed a few tears in one of the final scenes, because it was a truly emotional moment, and I always remember the epic phrase "Ohana means family," and family never leaves you. For those who aren't too demanding when it comes to production and story development, I recommend watching it if you want to experience it firsthand, especially if you have children at home, since they're the ones who enjoy it the most.
Y por último creo que me hubiera encantado ver un poco más de desarrollo sobre la relación entre Nani y David, antes de ir a ver la película tenia la expectativa de que habría más para contar, pero este chico casi no aparece durante toda la historia, luego de este resumen entre la película original y el live action me quedo con la original definitivamente, espero haya sido de su agrado esta breve reseña, Gracias por leerme.
And finally, I think I would have loved to see a little more development on the relationship between Nani and David. Before going to see the movie, I had the expectation that there would be more to tell, but this boy barely appears during the entire story. After this summary between the original movie and the live action, I'm definitely sticking with the original. I hope you enjoyed this brief review. Thank you for reading.

Igual que tu, me quedo con la original, aunque si me gustó mucho la actuación de la niña y el diseño de Stitch... Yo vi esta película y no me provocó hacer el post sobre ella, pero supongo que a las nuevas generaciones que no tienen la expectativa o la referencia de la primera película, seguramente la disfrutaran más que uno.
