(Tratando de mantener el ritmo en la comunidad queridos amigos) Esta semana tenia muchas ganas de ver algo que tuviera romance y comedia, la verdad venia viendo tantas cosas trágicas o perturbadoras, que mi mente necesitaba un descanso, además que ya de por si en la vida real estamos llenos de muchas noticias trágicas para llenar aún más nuestra mente de historias aún más trágicas, aterradoras o perturbadoras, inicio de esta forma porque se que muchos no son amantes de las películas o series románticas por diferentes razones.
(Trying to keep up the pace in the community dear friends) This week I really wanted to see something with romance and comedy, the truth is that I have been seeing so many tragic or disturbing things, that my mind needed a break, besides that in real life we are already full of tragic news to fill our minds with even more tragic, frightening or disturbing stories, I start this way because I know that many are not lovers of romantic movies or series for different reasons.
Pero siento que a veces necesitamos desconectarnos por unos momentos y dejarnos llevar por estas lindas historias que nos regalan actualmente, que aunque para muchos sea algo cliché o algo que realmente no pase en la vida real, es algo que se vale soñar para cambiar de energía, y por eso hoy les traigo una serie coreana de comedia de nombre EL PESO DEL AMOR o OH MI VENUS.
But I feel that sometimes we need to disconnect for a few moments and let ourselves be carried away by these cute stories that we are currently given, that although for many it is something cliché or something that does not really happen in real life, it is something that is worth dreaming to change energy, and that is why today I bring you a Korean comedy series called THE WEIGHT OF LOVE or OH MY VENUS.
Realmente la empecé a ver por su protagonista masculino So Ji-sub a quien conocía por una serie dramática que había visto hace como diez años de nombre "Lo siento, te amo" creo que fue la serie con más drama y tragedia que había visto en mi vida y por eso quede enganchada desde que lo vi que era parte de la portada, porque me gusto mucho su trabajo en esa producción y quería ver parte de su trabajo actual.
I really started watching it because of its male lead So Ji-sub who I knew from a drama series I had seen about ten years ago called "Sorry, I love you" I think it was the series with more drama and tragedy that I had seen in my life and that's why I was hooked since I saw him as part of the cover, because I really liked his work in that production and I wanted to see some of his current work.

Oh mi venus es una serie donde conoceremos a Kang Joo Eun la chica más hermosa del colegio a quien todos llamaban Venus y los chicos estaban vueltos locos de amor por ella, pero luego de 15 años se graduó como abogada y su novio de toda la vida la dejó por haber subido tanto de peso y por haber descuidado su imagen.
Oh my Venus is a series where we will meet Kang Joo Eun the most beautiful girl in school who everyone called Venus and the boys were crazy in love with her, but after 15 years she graduated as a lawyer and her longtime boyfriend left her for having gained so much weight and for having neglected her image.
Así que Kang Joo Eun no tiene el mismo autoestima que tenía antes cuando era una joven chica, pero por cosas del destino conocerá a un joven Young Ho quien llegará a su vida para darle un cambio que ninguno de los dos se esperaba, porque en realidad son completos desconocidos, pero por diferentes circunstancias terminarán encontrándose una y otra vez y aprenderán juntos lo que es el verdadero significado del amor.
So Kang Joo Eun does not have the same self-esteem she had before when she was a young girl, but by fate she will meet a young man Young Ho who will come into her life to give her a change that neither of them expected, because in reality they are complete strangers, but for different circumstances they will end up meeting again and again and learn together what is the true meaning of love.
Mi opinión
My opinion
Tal vez al inicio pueda llegar hacer algo simple y sin tanta emoción, pero a medida que avanza la historia se va tornando mucho más bonita, sobretodo que AME el cambio físico que le hicieron a la protagonista, es impresionante como primero la vemos toda así linda y hermosa y luego aparece bastante rellenita, incluso a mi me gustaba su personaje así de gordita, era como más tierna y más graciosa.
Maybe at the beginning it can be simple and without much emotion, but as the story progresses it becomes much more beautiful, especially I LOVED the physical change they made to the protagonist, it is impressive how first we see her all cute and beautiful and then she appears quite plump, even I liked her character as chubby, she was like more tender and more graceful.
Yo realmente me reí muchísimo de esta historia y no solo eso, me gusto como desarrollan a los personajes principales y también a los secundarios, que en este caso serian los amigos del protagonista, aunque solo se habla de la historia de uno de ellos Sung Hoon, quien era un deportista profesional de boxeo, pero del personaje más adorable de los tres que era Henry Lau no contaron casi nada de su vida pasada, solo sabemos que es un gran amigo lleno de mucho carisma, animo y buena vibra, y que no se rinde en su sueño por entrar en la marina, yo lo AME, quiero un amigo como él.
I really laughed a lot at this story and not only that, I liked how they develop the main characters and also the secondary characters, which in this case would be the main character's friends, although they only talk about the story of one of them Sung Hoon, who was a professional boxing athlete, but the most adorable character of the three, Henry Lau, was not told almost nothing of his past life, we only know that he is a great friend full of charisma, encouragement and good vibes, and that he does not give up on his dream of joining the navy, I LOVE him, I want a friend like him.
Más allá de todo eso, la historia nos deja un mensaje muy bonito en cuanto a lo importante que es cuidar tu salud, tu alimentación y que más que preocuparte de tu apariencia física, lo más importante es mantenerte saludable y que eso es algo SEXY, ser saludable es algo SEXY, es primera vez que lo veo de esa forma gracias a esta serie y es algo que recalcan mucho, y lo que sorprende mucho es, porque todos sabemos el estándar de belleza extremo que tienen en Corea del Sur en cuanto al tema de ser delgadas, y esta serie lo muestra de una forma muy diferente, no te preocupes por estar flaca, sino por alimentarte de la manera correcta y por vigilar tu estado de salud más que nada.
Beyond all that, the story leaves us a very nice message about how important it is to take care of your health, your diet and that more than worrying about your physical appearance, the most important thing is to stay healthy and that is something SEXY, being healthy is something SEXY, it is the first time I see it that way thanks to this series and it is something that they emphasize a lot, and what is very surprising is, because we all know the extreme beauty standard they have in South Korea when it comes to being thin, and this series shows it in a very different way, don't worry about being skinny, worry about eating the right way and watching your health more than anything else.
No es una serie que tiene drama y llanto como otras, pero si te lanzan su dosis casi al final como para ponerla más emociónate y que te hagan llorar, la verdad no se como logran hacer escenas tan conmovedoras, sobretodo sabiendo que los coreanos no son tan emocionales como nosotros los latinos, pero logran un nivel de calidad en cuanto hacerte llorar se trata y casi lo logran conmigo al final, ¡Dios!.
It is not a series that has drama and crying like others, but they do throw their dose almost at the end to make it more emotional and make you cry, the truth is I don't know how they manage to make such touching scenes, especially knowing that Koreans are not as emotional as us Latinos, but they achieve a level of quality in terms of making you cry and they almost did it with me at the end, God!
Y no puedo terminar sin mencionar la calidad actoral de los personajes, para mi extraordinaria como siempre, además de la química que tenian los protagonistas y su relación amor y odio, aunque lo único que no me gusto y me pareció como relleno fue una parte de la historia de Sung Hoon quien era el boxeador donde (SPOILER) intentan colocarle una pareja forzada con la que el no quería nada, pero de resto es una serie que recomiendo.
And I can not finish without mentioning the acting quality of the characters, for me extraordinary as always, plus the chemistry that had the protagonists and their love and hate relationship, although the only thing I did not like and it seemed like filler was a part of the story of Sung Hoon who was the boxer where (SPOILER) they try to put a forced partner with whom he did not want anything, but otherwise it is a series that I recommend.
Ame tanto la historia que quede extrañando a todos los personajes, es una serie corta que se encuentra en Netflix y que solo tiene 16 capítulos, si termino con un final cliché para muchos, pero en conclusión la serie cumplió con lo que yo estaba buscando, me dejo satisfecha, feliz y con una buena energía positiva, para liberarme de tanta matazón, tragedia y cosas malas que vemos todos los días en la vida real, una razón por la cuál deje de ver películas de terror porque era una de las cosas que no me dejaba dormir en paz por las noches.
I loved the story so much that I missed all the characters, it is a short series that is on Netflix and only has 16 chapters, yes it ended with a cliché ending for many, but in conclusion the series fulfilled what I was looking for, it left me satisfied, happy and with a good positive energy, to free me from so much killing, tragedy and bad things that we see every day in real life, a reason why I stopped watching horror movies because it was one of the things that did not let me sleep peacefully at night.

Yo lo vi de casualidad en Netflix, creo que lo acaban de publicar, y me anime cuando vi al protagonista, ya lo conocía de antes y quería verlo después de tanto tiempo a ver con que material venia, de verdad que si, super buena la serie, la ame por completo. I watch a lot of disturbing movies and it's happened to me that I get saturated with them and find myself looking for something light, a romantic drama. XD This one looks interesting, but I'm not a big fan of k-dramas, I have a hard time getting along with the characters in these romantic stories. I like Asian movies, I do watch them, crime movies, mafia movies, thrillers, intense dramas, etc, but these series it's hard to get me hooked. For now I think I'm going to watch some romantic movies that many are watching on Netflix.
Definitivamente si Jc, a veces resultan emocionante por la acción y la adrenalina que puede generar, pero hay momentos donde ver tanto esta clase de películas de alguna forma como que te empieza a transmitir esa energía pesada de que todo a nuestro alrededor es malo, caótico y perturbador y por eso digo Dios mío, no todo puede ser tan malo, hay que abrirle un poco el paso a lo bonito de alguna forma, esta me gusto porque más que romance es bastante cómica, tiene comedia y un tema importante que aborda es la salud, y como ciertas cosas en nuestra adolescencia nos llega a afectar tanto que pasa a traernos problemas en nuestra vida adulta, el romance se ve más en los últimos capítulos, me gusto mucho porque no tiene tanto drama como otras series, es más relajada. Que gran post, justo esta semana tambien terminamos este drama y estaba preparando mi post al respecto jajaja me gustó mucho, me reí en serio y me gusto la forma en que tocaron el tema de estar sano por dentro y por fuera, fue genial! Aunque al final la actitud del prota en el ultimo cap me decepcionó un poco jajaja
Pd: Al ver este drama me acordé mucho de una novela llamada Mi gorda bella, creo que por el cambio de la protagonista 🤔
