Hola mi gente linda de Movies & TV Shows, esta semana vi una recomendación en Netflix de una serie nueva que están promocionando que seguramente no sea del gusto de muchos, porque es una serie juvenil australiana, incluso yo tengo años que no veo series juveniles porque ya no son lo mismo de antes, o tal vez sea que mientras más años cumples, te van dejando de gustar, la verdad no se la respuesta o razón concreta de eso, pero en fin, la cosa es que la serie me gusto por dos razones en especifico las cuales les voy a compartir hoy.
Hello my beautiful people from Movies & TV Shows, this week I saw a recommendation on Netflix of a new series that they are promoting that surely will not be to the taste of many, because it is an Australian youth series, even I have not seen youth series for years because They are not the same as before, or maybe it is that the older you get, the more you like them, the truth is I do not know the answer or the specific reason for that, but anyway, the thing is that I liked the series for two specific reasons which I am going to share with you today.
La idea principal por la que me motive a verla, fue porque en el clip de instagram salían dos chicas y un chico haciendo mención a los signos del zodiaco, y no es porque yo lea el horóscopo o algo así, si no que siempre me han llamado la atención cosas particulares de los signos y pensé que la serie trataba sobre ese tema, pero resulta que no fue así, y me encontré con un grupo de jovenes en un colegio de Australia con la siguiente trama:
The main idea that motivated me to see it, was because in the instagram clip there were two girls and a boy mentioning the signs of the zodiac, and it is not because I read the horoscope or something like that, but because they have always particular things of the signs called attention and I thought that the series was about that topic, but it turns out that it was not, and I met a group of young people in a school in Australia with the following plot:
En primer lugar debo mencionar que la serie esta basada o inspirada en una serie muy conocida en Australia del año 1994 que tiene el mismo nombre Heartbreak High, pero evidentemente esta mucho más enfocada a la generación de este tiempo, lo que nos permite ver muchas cosas de las que pasan actualmente entre los jovenes y que se han convertido en algo normal de su generación.
First of all, I must mention that the series is based or inspired by a well-known series in Australia from 1994 that has the same name Heartbreak High, but obviously it is much more focused on the generation of this time, which allows us to see many things of those that currently happen among young people and that have become something normal for their generation.

Tenemos a dos chicas mejores amigas desde la infancia, que realizaron una pequeño mapa en la pared de un salón abandonado del colegio, donde colocaban a todas las personas o estudiantes que habían tenido relaciones sexuales y como uno con otro se conectaban entre si. Pero solamente ellas dos sabían de la existencia de esta creación, hasta que un día por alguna razón lo descubren y una de ellas es acusada y pues debe lidiar con las consecuencias de sus actos, incluyendo el odio de casi todo el colegio a excepción de dos, un chico y una chica que eran amigos. El nombre de esta chica es Amerie y su mejor amiga se llama Harper, pero justamente el día que la descubren se da cuenta que su mejor amiga cambio por completo y no es la misma chica alegre y divertida con la que ella había crecido.
We have two girls who have been best friends since childhood, who made a small map on the wall of an abandoned school room, where they placed all the people or students who had had sexual relations and how they connected with each other. Pero la trama más allá de tener que lidiar con este problema, se enfoca más en su mejor amiga y en descubrir que paso con ella y porque rompió su amistad de la noche a la mañana sin decirle nada, algo que la mantiene con la gran incógnita durante casi los 8 capítulos que dura la serie, además de terminar complicando la relación aún más por una serie de mal entendidos que terminan pasando durante toda la trama.
But the plot, beyond having to deal with this problem, focuses more on her best friend and discovering what happened to her and why she broke their friendship overnight without saying anything, something that keeps her in the dark. during almost the 8 chapters that the series lasts, in addition to ending up complicating the relationship even more due to a series of misunderstandings that end up happening throughout the plot.

Como siempre digo cuando algo no es del otro mundo, esta serie mantuvo mi atención por dos simples razones, la primera era descubrir que le había pasado a la amiga de Amerie y la segunda es porque Amerie me recordó mucho a Brittany murphy, aunque Amerie es morena y de una raza muy diferente a Brittany te darás cuenta como tiene los mismos ojos grandes y vivos que tenia esta querida actriz y que además su personaje se parece mucho a como ella actuaba, es muy divertida, alocada, espontanea, extrovertida y no le tiene miedo
a nada y esas fueron las razones que me dejaron pegada a la serie, porque no tiene nada más de brillante.
As I always say when something is not from the other world, this series kept my attention for two simple reasons, the first was to discover what had happened to Amerie's friend and the second is because Amerie reminded me a lot of Brittany murphy, although Amerie is brunette and of a very different race to Brittany, you will realize how she has the same big and lively eyes that this beloved actress had and that her character is also very similar to how she acted, she is very funny, crazy, spontaneous, outgoing and does not like her. He is afraid
to nothing and those were the reasons that left me glued to the series, because there is nothing more brilliant about it.
Lo que si debo resaltar es la actuación de todos los chicos, en especial de Amerie, Harper, y los nuevos amigos de Amerie, Quinni y Darren, también me gusto como incluyeron a un persona con autismo como Quinni la cuál tiene una personalidad muy divertida, cariñosa, amistosa y colorida, pero sin olvidar su condición que no te das cuenta hasta que le toca lidiar con situaciones que para ella suelen ser estresantes, o para cualquier persona dentro del espectro.
What I must highlight is the performance of all the boys, especially Amerie, Harper, and Amerie's new friends, Quinni and Darren, I also liked how they included a person with autism like Quinni who has a very funny personality , affectionate, friendly and colorful, but without forgetting her condition that you do not realize until she has to deal with situations that are usually stressful for her, or for anyone within the spectrum.
Y Darren es un chico gay que tiene que luchar con la incomprensión de sus padres por sus gustos, lo que muchas veces lo hace sentirse no querido por nadie o que es alguien difícil de querer. Además de esto debo decir que aunque ya sea un tema súper explotado o cliche, del cuál se habla mucho y en los colegios se dan charlas de esto, en la serie explican muy bien el riesgo que tiene una persona de contagiarse de una ETS si no usa protección y mantiene una vida promiscua, algo que aquí se verá reflejado.
And Darren is a gay boy who has to deal with his parents' incomprehension about his tastes, which often makes him feel that he is not wanted by anyone or that he is someone difficult to love. In addition to this, I must say that although it is a super-exploited topic or cliche, which is talked about a lot and in schools there are talks about it, in the series they explain very well the risk that a person has of getting an STD if they don't uses protection and maintains a promiscuous life, something that will be reflected here.
Pero una de las cosas que pude notar de la historia es que Amerie es una de las chicas más afortunadas de la historia aunque ella no lo note, porque a medida que pasa cada capitulo nos damos cuenta los problemas con los que tienen que lidiar muchos de sus compañeros incluyendo a Darren, Quinni, Harper y otros en la historia que reflejan muchos problemas de los que viven muchos adolescentes hoy en día y que no saben como manejarlos por si solos, porque necesitan una orientación o consejo de alguien que los quiera de verdad, como un padre o una madre.
But one of the things that I could notice about the story is that Amerie is one of the luckiest girls in the story even though she doesn't notice it, because as each chapter passes we realize the problems that many of them have to deal with. his companions including Darren, Quinni, Harper and others in the story that reflect many problems that many teenagers live today and who do not know how to handle them on their own, because they need guidance or advice from someone who really loves them like a father or a mother.
Lo que si les puedo decir es que la razón del cambio drástico de Harper al inicio de la historia es algo que no te imaginas y que estando en su situación seguramente te hubieras sentido igual que ella, llegando a terminar la relación con tu única y mejor amiga, tal vez en alguna parte de la historia puedas llegar adivinar que fue lo que paso, pero no es hasta el final que te sorprendes de cual fue la realidad para Harper y la razón por la cual se aleja de Amerie.
What I can tell you is that the reason for Harper's drastic change at the beginning of the story is something you can't imagine and that being in her situation you would surely have felt the same as her, ending the relationship with your only and best friend, maybe somewhere in the story you can guess what happened, but it is not until the end that you are surprised what the reality was for Harper and the reason why she distances herself from Amerie.
Esta historia cuenta con muchos flasback que poco a poco te van mostrando que fue lo que paso el día anterior al cambio de Harper y porque su molestia y decepción de su amiga, porque imagínate llegar un día a la escuela buscar a tu mejor amiga y verla con el cabello rapado, con cara de pocos amigos y además que de buenas a primera cuando intentes hablar con ella te suelte un puñetazo en la cara, te quedarás WTF pero ¿Qué paso aquí? evidentemente quedaras desconcertado y con necesidad de respuestas, pero las cuales Amerie no obtiene porque Harper esta negada a decirle que fue lo que paso.
This story has many flashbacks that little by little show you what happened the day before Harper changed and why her annoyance and disappointment of her friend, because imagine arriving at school one day looking for your best friend and seeing her with shaved hair, with a face of few friends and also that all of a sudden when you try to talk to her she punches you in the face, you'll stay WTF but what happened here? You'll obviously be left bewildered and in need of answers, but which Amerie doesn't get because Harper refuses to tell her what happened.
A pesar de que es una serie juvenil para un público netamente joven me gusto bastante la historia y todos sus personajes, es una adaptación a la generación actual con todo lo que implica esto porque incluso veremos a Darren hablando del lenguaje inclusivo ELLE del cuál sus padres siempre recalcan lo agotador que es ese cambio y el no poder llamarlo por como están acostumbrado ÉL. No se a quien recomendaría esta serie porque se que la mayoría no busca este tipo de material para ver, pero incluso a mi que casi no veo series juveniles me dejo toda la madrugada esperando por conocer el final.
Although it is a youth series for a clearly young audience, I quite liked the story and all its characters, it is an adaptation to the current generation with all that this implies because we will even see Darren talking about the inclusive language ELLE of which his parents they always emphasize how exhausting that change is and not being able to call it what they are used to HIM. I don't know who I would recommend this series to because I know that most of them don't look for this type of material to watch, but even I hardly watch youth series, it left me all morning waiting to see the end.
Incluso leí que esta serie podría llegar hacer igual de exitosa que Euphoria y Sex Education pero en realidad no lo se porque no he podido ver ninguna de estas dos series mencionadas, pero algo de Sex Education si tiene por todos los temas que tocan en la trama y como los chicos no respetan este tema de las relaciones sexuales y los preocupados que están sus profesores por comenzar a educarlos sobre el tema para que se tomen este asunto en serio, además que hacen referencia a lo distorsionado que son los materiales nopor para adultos y que ellos no deberían dejarse influenciar por eso, y en cambio aceptar clases de educación sexual donde aprendan a respetarse entre si y a tomar la responsabilidad que requiere iniciarte en este mundo sexual. No creo que muchos hayan visto esta serie, pero te agradezco por haber llegado hasta aquí y compartir en los comentarios tus impresiones de la misma.
I even read that this series could become as successful as Euphoria and Sex Education but I really don't know because I haven't been able to see any of these two series mentioned, but something of Sex Education does have it because of all the topics they touch on in the plot and since the boys do not respect this topic of sexual relations and how worried their teachers are about starting to educate them on the subject so that they take this issue seriously, they also refer to how distorted nonpor materials are for adults and that they should not be influenced by that, and instead accept sex education classes where they learn to respect each other and take the responsibility that requires you to start in this sexual world.
